DANIEL VAUGHAN: Joe Biden Is The Oligarchy He Warns About

Along the way, in his slurred, uneven farewell address, President Joe Biden warned the nation of an "oligarchy" taking over the country. He defined it as the "dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a few ultra wealthy people." But while he means the likes of Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, it's hard to miss the ironic real target: Biden himself.

It's easier to read Biden's remarks in the transcript rather than watch the address, where Biden appeared worse than he did on the infamous debate stage against Donald Trump. Biden hasn't lost his fast pitch so much, as he can't throw the ball at all. The press and White House hiding his incapacity should have been the lie of the year and maybe the decade.

Biden said in his address, "I want to warn the country of some things that give me great concern. And this is a dangerous — and that's the dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultrawealthy people, and the dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked."

He compared this oligarchy to the robber barons of a bygone era. And claimed Americans needed to fight these wealthy cohorts again and force them to play a fair game.

He also muddled through a section on social media, "President Eisenhower spoke of the dangers of the military-industrial complex. He warned us that about, and I quote, "The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power." Six days — six decades later, I'm equally concerned about the potential rise of a tech-industrial complex that could pose real dangers for our country as well."

If Biden wants to discuss BigTech, large corporations, the ultra-rich, and the wealth they accrue from running over everyone else, that's fine. What he leaves out is the most powerful of all: those holding political power.

According to Mark Zuckerberg, the Biden administration was "screaming" and "cursing" at Meta employees to remove content from the social media giant. The FBI reached out to social media giants to get the Hunter Biden story removed from the platforms.

Joe Biden's Justice Department sought a sweetheart deal with Hunter Biden. Joe Biden ended up granting Hunter Biden a historic and previously unimaginable pardon to cover any and all conduct he did going back to the Obama administration.

Everyone waits with bated breath to see if Biden issues preemptive pardons to prevent those who worked in his administration from facing transparency laws over their actions in office.

Biden is mad at social media companies, alleging disinformation and misinformation. The real issue is that these companies aren't following the will of the progressive left.

Google told the European Union that it was not adding fact-checks to search results, YouTube videos, and more. Zuckerberg's company Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, is getting out of the fact-checking game entirely, fed up with Democrats' censorship antics. And, of course, Elon Musk exposed the Biden administration's censorship streak and bucked it.

The tech world is moving against censorship trends. Biden wants a return to a tech-based oligarchy that controls what people see and do. In short, it's what we've seen in Canada and the United Kingdom, where people are arrested for "offensive" social media posts.

That's the future Biden wants, and he's mad that it's no longer in his or the Democrats' hands. Biden's farewell speech was a dark one, claiming America is in a dark place.

He's right. But we've been in a bad place because of him. Biden ignored inflation, got Americans and our allies killed and trapped in a terrorist regime after the Afghanistan debacle, got ignored by Vladimir Putin, which induced a regional war in Ukraine, and more.

Biden's time in office was such a disaster that Donald Trump is returning to office despite two impeachment attempts, multiple legal cases, and the January 6 mess. Americans looked at Donald Trump and viewed him in a popular light - Trump has never been more popular than he is right now - and kicked Biden to the curb.

Biden is the oligarchy. His sick and demented family and friends played off his influence for years and now demand pardons for their conduct. No one believes he's in charge, which leaves us asking which family member controls things.

One debate ended Biden's entire campaign. He lied about his health, his accomplishments, and his identity. The Biden disaster has been so bad that it makes Jimmy Carter's term in office look positive in hindsight. We can point out the good things Jimmy Carter did. It's much harder to find anything positive from the vain, prideful, and incompetent Biden clan.

He joins the dustbin of American history, and the people who lived through it are glad to be on the other side—good riddance to the newest entrant in the worst presidents in American history club.
