JD Vance's Former Aides Brought On By Vivek Ramaswamy For Ohio Governor Bid

Vivek Ramaswamy is reportedly tapping into Vice President JD Vance's camp for help in his upcoming bid to be the next governor of Ohio.

Longtime Vance allies in Ohio are being courted by the biotech entrepreneur for his expected 2026 campaign for governor of Ohio in hopes that a close association with Vance will boost him in the race.

Vance is incredibly popular and Ramaswamy is wise to attach himself to Vance when he makes his appeal to Ohio's voters in two years.

Furthermore, Ramaswamy is in desperate need of close association to the Trump administration due to some self-inflicted wounds that have led to Ramaswamy falling out of favor in the eyes of some.

Ramaswamy Dead On Arrival

A particularly bad post to X condemning the work ethic of American workers in comparison to Indian H1-B workers has led to many Trump supporters disavowing him and overcoming that will be paramount to any kind of political victory.

Just months ago, Ramaswamy was a rising star and had close access to President Donald Trump but following the H1-B discourse that swept conservative circles, Ramaswamy isn't doing well.

Ramaswamy has been quietly banished from the White House, likely by Chief of Staff Susie Wiles who would go on to issue a gag order on anyone connected to the Trump campaign from posting on social media without approval.

Seeking expert help

The obvious solution to Ramaswamy's flailing political career is to bring in the people who helped Vance succeed as a senator for Ohio.

Andy Surabian, an adviser to Vance during the Republican’s 2022 Senate and 2024 vice presidential runs, confirmed to The New York Post that he will oversee the political action committee aligned with Ramaswamy’s proposed campaign.

Another close Vance ally, Arthur Schwartz also confirmed that he will work for the pro-Ramaswamy super PAC as well.

However, it is uncertain if bringing in Vance's people will help Ramaswamy overcome his unofficial exile from the White House and his burned bridges with populist Trump supporters.

Questionable Integrity

Ramaswamy's integrity has been under fire for weeks now amid the fallout from his post slandering American workers which prompted some conservative figures to dig into his past.

Ramaswamy made his fortune as the CEO of Roivant, a multi-billion-dollar American pharmaceutical company. However, a deep dive on the company's financial reports and a review of Ramaswamy's conduct as CEO suggests foul play.

Many have accused Ramaswamy of being a scammer who engaged in a "pump-and-dump" of the company's stocks as there was no real product and the company was insolvent.

These allegations will be thoroughly reviewed by whoever Ramaswamy faces, further raising questions about how viable he is as a candidate, let alone an influential figure in conservative circles.
