Kennedy family called out for critical allegations against RFK Jr. after silence over other family scandals

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President Donald Trump's pick to head the Department of Health and Human Services, sat for Senate confirmation hearings this week, the prospects of which don't look particularly good.

Kennedy faced concerted bipartisan opposition from many Democrats and Republicans that was bolstered by the recent betrayal of damning accusations from some members of his famous family, according to Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan.

That betrayal is clearly motivated by politics and anti-Trump hate, the author contended, from family members who have no room to talk given their lack of outrage or prior condemnation of the many scandals that have embroiled other members of the Kennedy clan for decades.

Caroline Kennedy slams cousin RFK Jr. as a "predator"

The Washington Post reported on Tuesday that, on the eve of Kennedy's confirmation hearings, his cousin Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of late President John F. Kennedy, sent a scathing letter to senators to warn them against supporting RFK Jr.'s nomination to run HHS.

She accused him of being a "predator" who "preyed" upon innocent people, including other family members and the parents of sick children, both physically and psychologically, and asserted that he'd led others into drug addiction by way of his own prior admitted issues with illicit drugs.

She further decried Kennedy's skepticism about some vaccines as being particularly dangerous, if he is confirmed, and alleged that he would corruptly profit off lawsuits against vaccine makers, among other harsh claims leveled against her cousin.

RFK Jr.'s nephew speaks out

As if that wasn't bad enough, the Daily Mail's Callahan noted that Caroline Kennedy's son, Jack Schlossberg, similarly verbally assailed his uncle as a uniquely horrible person in a since-deleted social media post.

Schlossberg alleged that RFK Jr. had essentially kidnapped and defiled the corpse of his deceased uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr., following his fatal plane crash in 1999, and further asserted that other family members were aware of what had occurred but were too intimidated to come forward.

Callahan, who is no big fan of RFK Jr., nonetheless expressed skepticism about the content and timing of the claims made by Schlossberg and his mother against President Trump's HHS nominee, in large part because neither of them -- or anybody else in the politically legendary Democratic family -- has ever spoken out against the documented misdeeds of other members of the Kennedy clan.

Where were the Kennedys about any of the other alleged scandals?

The Daily Mail's best-selling author and columnist Callahan knows what she is talking about when it comes to the many scandals of the Kennedy family, as she just published a best-seller book last year on that exact subject.

In her Daily Mail piece, she highlighted several examples of horrendous behavior by members of the family that neither Caroline nor her son have ever publicly condemned in the same manner they've now attacked RFK Jr.

That includes allegations of her father, former President Kennedy, raping young interns in the White House, or her uncle, late U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA), and allegations that he once sexually assaulted a waitress in Washington D.C., to say nothing of his allegedly leaving a young campaign aid to drown following a car accident.

Then there was family's famous patriarch, JFK Sr., a former illegal bootlegger during Prohibition who is alleged to have routinely raped and molested his daughter Rosemary and her friends, and even had Rosemary lobotomized to keep her from making his dark secret public.

Callahan also made note of multiple alleged scandals committed by RFK Jr. himself, none of which his cousin ever spoke out against ... at least not until he'd aligned himself with President Trump, and concluded of the Kennedy clan, "A family that gathered to endorse Joe Biden -- after that fateful debate, America left doubtless that the old man was senile and infirm -- has zero moral or political sway left to offer. Whether Bobby gets voted in or out doesn't really matter. The Kennedys have already lost."
