Democratic lawmakers were recently blocked from entering into the U.S. Department of Education.

Fox News reports that the incident took place on Friday morning.

Per the outlet:

Thirty House Democrats on Friday morning attempted to enter the Department of Education building in Washington, D.C., to meet with acting Education Secretary Denise L. Carter, but they were stopped by security. A man who said he was a federal employee did not make it clear why the lawmakers had not been allowed into the building.

President Donald Trump, on Friday, made it clear that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is eyeing up the Department of Education next.

This, of course, is the department that is being led by Elon Musk and that is looking to make the government more efficient, financially speaking, by identifying waste and worse.

Fox News reports:

"I’ve instructed him to go check out Education, to check out the Pentagon … and, sadly, you’ll find some things that are pretty bad. But I don’t think, proportionally, you’re going to see anything like we just saw," Trump told reporters Friday about his plans for Musk during a press conference while hosting Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.

Democrats try to make a scene

It is for this reason that Democrats, on Friday, attempted to gain access to the Department of Education.

Axios reports:

The lawmakers were there to follow up on a letter they sent Carter demanding an "urgent meeting" on "plans to illegally dismantle or drastically reduce the Department." "We then proceeded to enter the Department of Education and we were locked out," [U.S. Rep. Mark] Takano [D-CA] told Axios, "a security officer came out and said ... there was no scheduled meeting. Takano added that "there was no official from the Department of Education who could back up what the security guard told us."

Axios notes that this is the fourth agency that Democrats were block out of last week.

They were attempting to get access to them for the same reason.

The biggest scandal of all!

This comes after Musk and his team found highly suspicious activity in the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Trump called it perhaps the biggest scandal of all.

He wrote:
