State Department suspends issuing Gaza visitor visas
The Trump administration has once again taken definitive action to stop possible unfriendlies that could attempt to infiltrate the United States.
This time it came in the form of working to stop the “enemy of my enemy,” and suspended issuing visas to those from the Gaza Strip, as Breitbart News reported.
That area of the Middle East is actively engaged in conflict with Israel (a longtime ally of the United States), and is unfortunately also being run, largely, by the terrorist group Hamas.
The announcement
The Department of State made the announcement just a few days ago, saying that the visitor visas by those from the area of Gaza would no longer be issued.
“All visitor visas for individuals from Gaza are being stopped while we conduct a full and thorough review of the process and procedures used to issue a small number of temporary medical-humanitarian visas in recent days,” the department wrote in a statement posted to X.
This is something that has enraged many, particularly those in immigrant rights groups, who seem to believe that those from other nations have as much right to be in the United States as American citizens.
Conservative credit
Conservative commentator and longtime MAGA champion, Laura Loomer, seems to be taking credit for this change.
Loomer said that the announcement came “following the release of my reports yesterday exposing flights of GAZANS arriving at airports all across the US.”
The podcast host, and presidential stan, made posts about the alleged movements of Gazians to the United States through the humanitarian aid group HEAL Palestine.
Loomer lashed out against the program on Friday and Saturday, calling for “the Trump administration needs to shut this abomination down ASAP before a family member of one of these GAZANS goes rogue and kills Americans for HAMAS.”
The founder of @healpalestine_ is a guy by the name of @Stevesosebee Steve Sosebee.
He posted a tweet about how his organization that is currently somehow getting GAZANS visas via the US State Department to come to the US is rebuilding the Indonesian Hospital in Northern Gaza.… https://t.co/qyx2y4KKKM pic.twitter.com/uodct9Ep7V

Republican support
Some hard-core Israel-supporting lawmakers supported Loomer’s posts and concerns, voicing their own questions about a possible conflict of interest for Gaza immigrants.
“Deeply concerned about the incoming flights - including to Texas - allegedly filled with folks from Gaza as reported by @LauraLoomer. Inquiring,” said Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) on Friday.
Following the State Department’s announcement, Rep. Randy Fine (R-Fla.) cited Loomer and her exposé on social media, saying, “massive credit needs to be given to @LauraLoomer for uncovering this and making me and other officials aware.”
White House position
While Trump has made comments about concern for the possible humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the administration has yet to waver from its support of Israel and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
This is despite the fact that a growing number of countries have begun to support Palestine’s claim to statehood, and is consistent with the State Department’s move to sanction leaders of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Palestinian Authority.
