Joy Reid explodes with explicit, racist rant after JD Vance suggests she show some 'gratitude' for her success
Vice President JD Vance recently gave some "non-trolling advice" about showing "gratitude" for her success in life to former MSNBC host Joy Reid, who bitterly injects racism and her hatred of America into everything.
In response, Reid exploded with an expletive-laden rant in which she smeared Vance as a "racist a--hole" and summarily rejected his suggestion for how to be a "happier person," according to the New York Post.
The easy-going vice president will almost certainly laugh off and move along from Reid's explicit retort to his friendly advice, while the incessantly aggrieved ex-cable news host will undoubtedly keep returning to her ever-flowing well of racial resentment.
Vance suggests Reid should show "a little gratitude"
On Thursday, Vice President Vance shared on X a video clip of Reid complaining about racism in America, and wrote, "Joy Reid has had such a good life in this country. It's been overwhelmingly kind and gracious to her. She is far wealthier than most. Yet she oozes with contempt."
"My honest, non-trolling advice to Joy Reid is that you'd be a much happier person if you showed a little gratitude," he added.
In the clip that Vance shared, Reid discussed how her mother experienced a "rude awakening" about how "racist" America is toward black people when she immigrated here from Guyana and realized that she'd been misinformed that the U.S. "was the land of opportunity, but not for me."
"Like, f--k you, forever!"
According to Mediaite, Reid, who abandoned the X platform years ago, only learned about Vice President Vance's post a day later when she was told what he'd written during an interview on Substack with Tommy Christopher.
"So I will start by saying, JD Vance, since you’re paying attention to me: F--k you!" Reid exclaimed. "And I say that on behalf of every Black woman who heard you call Kamala Devi Harris 'the trash.'"
She went on to reference what Vance had said during a November campaign speech about the former vice president and failed Democratic nominee, and stated, "Like, f--k you, forever!"
"Because you are a racist a--hole"
"There’s nothing you could ever say that I would take as advice, friendly or otherwise. I don’t need advice from you," Reid said toward Vance, before then offering the VP some advice of her own. "You need to learn how to be a decent human being, and you need to apologize to Kamala Harris for what you said. So let’s start with that."
She proceeded to claim that Vance had mischaracterized what she'd said in the interview, but then reiterated her aggrieved assertion that black people are treated as "second-class citizens" in America, while white people are blessed with a multitude of "opportunities."
"You, because you are a racist a--hole, believe that black people are given opportunity by white people," Reid spat.
She wasn't quite finished with her rant, though, as she then felt the need to add in an obligatory smear of assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk, by way of a deliberate mischaracterization of her own of something he'd once said that has been taken wildly out of context and twisted by the left.
Referring to the PhD and college professorship her mother had earned -- which seemingly negates the prior claim of racist oppression -- Reid said toward Vance, "You think that someone white gave her that opportunity or that she stole it from, or, you know, Charlie Kirk’s version is she stole from somebody white."
