Muse singer Matt Bellamy posts kiss with cookie founder two months after divorce filing

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has gone public with a kiss-and-selfie romance just two months after filing for divorce, a fast pivot fans noticed at once.

Bellamy shared an Instagram slideshow on Thursday that mixed cookie-shop snapshots with a clear romantic signal. The post carried the caption “new part time job, boss is a tough cookie,” and the final frame showed him kissing AnneMarie Morin while she snapped a selfie and he rested a hand on her midriff.

Page Six reported the images placed him at Cloud Cookie, the Chicago-based company Morin founded in 2020. He appears placing cookies in an oven, greeting customers, and eating a treat before the kiss shot closes the set.

The timing is what turned a workplace gag into gossip fuel. Bellamy filed for divorce from model Elle Evans on Aug. 12, citing “irreconcilable differences” and seeking sole custody of their two children. The Thursday post landed roughly two months later.

Divorce papers came first, then the public kiss

Evans did not stay quiet after the filing. She told TMZ the split was “a long time coming” after an “unbearable” marriage and said she planned to fight for custody of daughter Lovella, 6, and son George, 2.

Bellamy and Evans married in 2019 and split in mid-2025, per the same reporting. He also shares son Bingham, 15, with ex-fiancée Kate Hudson, whom he dated from 2010 to 2014. High-profile breakups often draw the same charge, that someone new rushed the exit, a theme that surfaced when Ryan Lochte’s fiancée rejected the “home-wrecker” label in another messy split.

Bellamy’s own words on the new post stayed playful and short.

“new part time job, boss is a tough cookie,”

Fans answered in the comments with the blunt speed test.

“Oh d*** that was quick,”

Another wrote, “holy s, t Matt works fast.” Others joked, “Someone call HR,” and “Behave yourself.”

Earlier posts already put Morin near the band

The Thursday kiss was not the first public breadcrumb. On Aug. 17, five days after the divorce filing, Morin posted from the Moab Desert with friends and tagged Bellamy. Muse played the Hollywood Bowl on Aug. 31; on Sept. 11 she shared a photo of herself at that show.

On Oct. 13 she posted from England, Bellamy’s home country, with a photo that appeared to show her legs draped across a man’s lap and a hand on her upper thigh. His face was not visible. She did not tag Bellamy. He liked the post anyway. Celebrity divorces rarely stay private once social media starts stacking dates like that, a pattern also seen when Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer finally closed a long-running divorce years after their split.

None of the posts name a formal relationship status. The kiss selfie, the “boss” caption, and the cookie-shop stage set still read as a hard launch to anyone scrolling past. Life after a filing can move fast on Instagram even when the legal fight is just beginning, the same way coverage tracked a Hawaii wedding weeks after another Hollywood divorce wrapped.

Evans has already signaled she will contest custody. Bellamy asked for sole custody in the Aug. 12 papers. Court name and case number were not detailed in the available accounts. What is public is the sequence: filing, tagged desert trip, Bowl concert photo, England lap shot, then the Cloud Cookie kiss.

Infidelity rumors and “who moved first” arguments shadow almost every famous split, including cases where a new partner later denied cheating claims after a divorce became final. Here the record so far is social posts and a divorce petition, not a finished custody order.

Morin built Cloud Cookie as an entrepreneur. Bellamy is the Grammy-winning Muse singer behind hits like “Supermassive Black Hole” and “Time Is Running Out.” Their joint appearance is now a public slideshow, not a private rumor. Near-misses and sudden replacements have long been part of celebrity marriage lore, including stories like Michael Douglas describing how close he came to leaving his marriage for another co-star.

Private vows still meet public feeds. When the timeline compresses this hard, voters and fans alike can judge the conduct without a press team’s spin.
