For the first time since he was a toddler, Barron Trump's voice was heard on a recording during a video with his father, President-elect Donald Trump in which the elder Trump jokingly asks whether Barron could be in a UFC cage match.

"Hello. How are you? Very nice to see you," Barron Trump said as he was introduced to Dana White, the CEO of UFC.

It has been so long since Barron's voice was heard publicly that clips from 10 years ago of him speaking have been circulating online.

His mother, Melania Trump, has been fiercely protective of him and kept him mostly out of the public eye.

Barron's life in college

Barron now attends the business school at New York University (NYU) and lives in Trump Tower in the family's penthouse apartment.

He has to have Secret Service protection everywhere he goes, which must make college life pretty difficult.

In the video, Donald Trump bragged about the crowd response to his son at a recent rally held before the election.

"I gave him a shout out last night, the place went crazy: Ba-ron Ba-ron," Trump said.

Barron's advice

Trump also credited Barron with helping him increase his share of young voters.

Barron advised his father about which podcasts to be interviewed on, which helped his visibility with young people.

He got 5% more of the 18-24 vote, which is a pretty big jump.

Seeing Trump on screen and listening to what he said must have convinced some people that Trump wasn't as bad as the media and Democrats were making him out to be.

It was Barron who advised his father to do the Joe Rogan podcast, which led to a rare Rogan endorsement after his opponent Vice President Kamala Harris refused to do the show.

It remains to be seen whether the 6-foot, 9-inch young man has a political future himself.
