On October 7th, Hamas raped, pillaged, and butchered its way through innocent men, women, and children. Hamas has fired thousands of rockets into Israel both before and after October 7th. Naturally, Democrats from the Squad to Biden call for a "ceasefire." These ceasefires only cut one way: Israel has to stop its operations. Meanwhile, Hamas continues to do whatever it wants. Ceasefires are a call for one thing: Hamas to kill Jews, with nothing stopping them.

Not all Democrats are on board with this nonsense. Notably, Senator John Fetterman and Representative Ritchie John Torres have made exemplary stands for their Jewish constituents against the broader antisemitism in the Democratic Party. But the calls for a ceasefire are coming from all quarters of the Democratic Party, and it's coming from people who know better and are caving to the vile Jew-hatred in their base.

Hamas Steals All Aid We Send

Any ceasefire only helps Hamas, including the "humanitarian" ceasefires. Hamas has openly stolen supplies from the United States, Israel, and the United Nations and stockpiled them for a war with Israel. NBC News reports that Hamas "is maintaining a stockpile of more than 200,000 gallons of fuel for the rockets it fires into Israel and the generators that provide clean air and electricity to its network of underground tunnels."

That fuel goes with all the other supplies that Hamas has. The New York Times even admitted this, reporting, "Hamas has hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel for vehicles and rockets; caches of ammunition, explosives and materials to make more; and stockpiles of food, water and medicine, the officials said. A senior Lebanese official said Hamas, which is estimated to number between 35,000 and 40,000, had enough stocked away to keep fighting for three to four months without resupply."

A ceasefire to send more supplies to Gaza is a tacit resupply of Hamas. That's where all past supplies went, and it's where all future aid will go, too. The humanitarian disaster in Gaza is not on the United States, Israel, or anyone else in the West. The reason there's a humanitarian crisis in Gaza is Hamas. Every person who dies from hunger is dead because of Hamas. Those who blame Israel reveal their true colors: they hate Jews and blame the acts of terrorists on Jews.

Hamas Has One Goal: Kill Jews.

If you don't believe me, see the words of Ghazi Hamad, a member of Hamas's political bureau. He went on television and declared, "Israel's existence is 'illogical' and that it must be wiped off all 'Palestinian lands,' a term the terror group uses to mean the West Bank, Gaza and Israel, minus the Golan Heights. When asked whether this meant the complete annihilation of Israel, Hamas replied: 'Yes, of course.'"

He went even further, though. He said:

We must teach Israel a lesson, and we will do it twice and three times. The Al-Aqsa Deluge [the name Hamas gave its October 7th onslaught] is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth...Will we have to pay a price? Yes, and we are ready to pay it. We are called a nation of martyrs, and we are proud to sacrifice martyrs.

He wasn't alone in calling for the eradication of Israel and all Jews, and he won't be the last. But the consequences of a ceasefire are clear. Hamas has one goal: kill every Jew they can get their hands on. Hamas does not care about Palestinians, and they see every dead Palestinian as a victory for their propaganda war in the Western press. We should not sent supplies for this group to take.

Democrats Need To Fix Their AntiSemitism Problem

The threat is real. Democratic support to defeat that threat is wavering. Seth Mande is right in Commentary, "Israel is fighting a war against Hamas, which insists it will try to wipe the Jews off the map for as long as it exists. They are not playing $10,000 Pyramid. Democratic support for Israel's war of self-defense will soon be circling the drain. The president needs to speak clearly and unequivocally or the West is going to suffer a disastrous setback at the hands of a terrorist group and a thesaurus."

For years, the Democratic Party was warned it had a severe problem with rabid Jew-hating antisemites spewing their vile bile into the policy positions of the party platform. And now we've arrived at the point when Jews are being threatened with extermination once more, and the party that was warned it has an antisemitism problem is getting weak knees when it comes to attacking a terrorist organization.

There should be no ceasefire. Israel must march through Gaza, clear Hamas out, rescue every hostage — including Americans, a group that is somehow forgotten by the ceasefire advocates — and create peace by removing the threats to peace. Those who want a ceasefire are seeking to aid and abet a terrorist organization that should be wiped off the earth. Democrats need to find a spine; otherwise, they'll be given over to the crackpot antisemites seeking to help Hamas.
