Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) said the Hunter Biden investigation hit a low point after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) showed explicit images of the first son.

The incident occurred during a whistleblower hearing Tuesday that included Greene showing censored images of Hunter Biden along with claims of prostitution.

The comments

"Today also marked a new low when pornographic images were paraded in this hearing room," the New York Democrat said.

"Chairman Comer, last October you told Time magazine that you were not interested in the sordid details of Hunter Biden's life. You were quoted as saying, 'That's counter to a credible investigation,' and I agree," she added.

The accusations

"The back-and-forth centered on what Greene said was evidence showing Biden may have violated the Mann Act by paying travel expenses through his law firm, OWASCO, for women — including possibly an assistant — to travel across state lines for sex," the Daily Wire reported.

"Ziegler, who previously testified to the House Ways and Means Committee that investigators had been 'compiling' Mann Act violations, acknowledged deductions to pay for what investigators believed to be 'escorts' and a $10,000 'golf club membership' that he said was actually for a 'sex club payment,'" it added.

The fallout

"Ziegler and another IRS whistleblower at the hearing, Gary Shapley, had testified to the House Ways and Means Committee that they were displeased with how prosecutors handled the tax crimes case against Hunter Biden, accusing them of slow-walking the investigation," WIVB-TV reported.

"Greene’s focus on explicit and salacious history of Hunter Biden, who has been public about his struggles with addiction, stands in contrast to Comer indicating in the past that the focus of the committee’s investigations of the Biden family’s business dealings would not focus on his personal actions," it added.

Democrats were quick to condemn the images but were slow to admit Hunter Biden had done anything wrong.

Greene's use of the first son's explicit images certainly generated attention to add to the reveal of the identity of the latest whistleblower.

The images also add to the concerns the Biden campaign faces in dealing with the investigation during the 2024 presidential campaign.
