Before her recent media makeover, Kamala Harris was known as a "soul-destroying bully" who burned through staff at an extraordinary rate.

The behavior goes back to her days as a prosecutor in California, the Daily Mail reported.

Kamala the bully

When she was attorney general of California, Harris was known for making interns cry and feel worthless, according to Barbara O'Connor, a professor at California State University.

The father of one intern wrote a damning op-ed in 2019 that described Harris' cruel demands. Low-level staffers were forbidden from even looking at her.

“Harris vocally throws around ‘F-bombs’ and other profanity constantly in her berating of staff and others,” Terry McAteer, whose son Gregory was an intern, wrote.

“As AG… Harris instructed her entire staff to stand every morning as she entered the office and say, ‘Good Morning General.’"

Harris brought her explosive temper to the U.S. Capitol in 2017. Staffers in both political parties were caught in the crossfire of her foul explosions, the Daily Mail reported.

"Anyone who's staff, get the f*** out of here!'" she reportedly yelled on one occasion.

Harris in a bubble...

According to one tally, just four members of Harris' original vice president team remain, making for a stunning turnover rate of 92%.

A former staffer who worked with Harris before she became VP said she can't accept accountability.

"'It's clear [with Harris] that you're not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work," one ex-aide told the Washington Post in 2021.

"With Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you're constantly sort of propping up a bully and it's not really clear why."

Harris has received little press scrutiny since launching her campaign, and on Friday she showed why. In her first unscripted remarks since launching her bid, Harris reverted to her notoriously vacuous style of speaking.

"This is just an extraordinary testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy and understands the strength that rests in understanding the significance of diplomacy and strengthening alliances," she said.

Harris was nominated by her party in a virtual roll call on Friday, despite never receiving a single primary vote.
