Bernie Sanders makes major blunder while campaigning for Harris

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) recently made a serious blunder while campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris.

The error made by Sanders, according to the New York Postis that he forgot to tell those who were in attendance to actually vote for Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

The incident took place at a small campaign event, of about 200 people, in which Sanders participated on Thursday.

The event took place in the important swing state of Nevada. The reader may remember that, in the 2020 Democratic primaries, Sanders actually won the Nevada caucus - albeit he did lose the nomination.

Why was Sanders there?

Based on the Post's report, it would appear that Sanders had trouble remembering the answer to the question of what exactly he was doing in Nevada.

According to the outlet, the event was advertised as "a town hall discussion" that would focus on "the economic stakes of this election for Nevadans."

The Post, however, reports, that "Sanders’ 54 minutes on stage largely recapped the themes of his abortive White House run without his ever saying the words 'Vote for Kamala Harris' or 'I support the Harris-Walz ticket.'"

This is a fairly serious mistake in the political world. If nothing else, it leaves many wondering whether Sanders really does believe that a Harris presidency would be good for the country.

The outlet goes on to report that, instead of supporting Harris, Sanders - when he was not "recapping the themes of his abortive White House run - spent time arguing that "It is imperative that we defeat [former President Donald] Trump."

Trump is dangerous

Sanders, as the political left tends to do, argued that the election of Trump would be dangerous for the country.

Here is one of the attacks he made on Trump:

I say this regardless of your political views. I don’t care if you’re a conservative Republican. You tell me whether you think it is appropriate to have somebody who is not only a bully but a pathological liar in the White House, all right?

Sanders went on to take issue with the fact that Trump attempted to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election.

In the process, Sanders made several statements that are simply false, such as that Hillary Clinton accepted her loss to Trump without complaint. As we know, Clinton is still complaining about that election to this day.

It was a strange speech from Sanders, to say the least. It is hard to imagine it did much to help Harris. Those who were in attendance were likely voting for Harris regardless of what Sanders had to say.
