Biden fails the troops again as National Guard members go without final paycheck of the year

President Joe Biden just proved, once again, how little Democrats care about our fine men and women in uniform.

According to Breitbart, a letter obtained by The Post Millennial that was issued to National Guard members across the country revealed that they would not be receiving their final paycheck before Christmas.

During the tough times created by Biden and the Democrats, you'd think giving our troops a paycheck to put food on the table and a few presents would have been a nice gesture.

The reason why the paychecks were delayed is even worse, as the disruption was reportedly caused by the passage of the $1.7 trillion, pork-filled omnibus bill.

Kick in the teeth

The year-end spending bill, which was celebrated as a legislative victory by the left and by a handful of RINO Republicans, contained language that provide an insane amount of aid to Ukraine, to the tune of $45 billion.

Breitbart noted, "The $45 billion is on top of the $66 billion taxpayer dollars that have already been used to fund Ukrainian aid."

Yet, National Guard members were not even afforded the dignity of having some money in their bank accounts to help with Christmas expenses. But hey, as long as Ukraine is taken care of, everything is apparently fine.

While the Senate passed the spending bill on Thursday, the House followed with a successful passage on Friday. It's expected to be signed by the president shortly.

The letter

The Post Millennial published sections of the letter, which attempted to explain to National Guard troops why the final paycheck of the year is being delayed.

"Hello gents," it began. It added, "if you have been tracking, the pay issue that has been plaguing the unit and the division as well." The Post Millennial noted that the situation was happening to National Guard members in multiple states.

It continued, "You are probably already tracking there are pay issues. Many soldiers were due pay today. They received LES but did not receive funds."

This is simply unacceptable. President Biden should immediately use his full executive powers to ensure these men and women, who write blank checks backed by their lives, get paid for doing their job. It's not a lot to ask.
