Leftist outlet BuzzFeed deleted Election Night X post that called Trump a 'lil b-tch'
Former President Donald Trump became President-elect Trump once again with a resounding victory Tuesday night, and many leftist media outlets and talking heads were quite unhappy with that development.
BuzzFeed News was among them, as the outlet made and then deleted an X post that called the 47th president a "lil b-tch," according to OutKick.
They, of course, were from alone in lashing out emotionally with negative or hateful comments and quips, both online and on TV, as the positive results for Trump continued to roll in on Election Night.
Posted and deleted
To be sure, it wasn't until the early morning hours of Wednesday that President-elect Trump appeared to have clinched victory in enough states to clear 270 votes in the Electoral College, but his broad path toward eventual victory -- and Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris' rapidly diminishing chances -- had become increasingly clear several hours earlier on Tuesday.
At one point on Tuesday night, somebody at BuzzFeed posted to the outlet's X account a picture of the country with every state colored blue, signifying a complete sweep of all 538 Electoral College votes, and wrote as the caption, "We ran 80,000 simulations. Trump was a lil b-tch in all of them."
That was a mocking take on an X post one night earlier from renowned statistician Nate Silver, who had published his final predictions for the 2024 race and wrote, "We ran 80,000 simulations tonight. Harris won in 40,012."
Apparently, however, someone at BuzzFeed decided the post referring to the president-elect as a "lil b-tch" was too much, as it was later deleted on Wednesday morning, albeit not before it was preserved forever with screenshots from others who saw it before it vanished.
Not the first time BuzzFeed has lied about and smeared Trump
BuzzFeed, readers may recall, has never been shy about expressing their opposition to President-elect Trump, as that site was the one that first published in January 2017 the unverified Steele dossier that had been financed by Democrats and was full of false, salacious, and unproven allegations of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.
Democrats and much of the media immediately latched on to the dossier and hounded Trump for the first few years of his presidency over the allegations, which played a central role in the inconclusive two-year investigation run by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
It wasn't until several years later that congressional Republicans and real journalists were able to thoroughly debunk and discredit the dossier that was shown to have been a dirty trick played by the Clinton campaign to try and defeat Trump in the 2016 election.
The media meltdown was glorious for Trump supporters
As noted, BuzzFeed was far from being alone in melting down over Trump's increasingly apparent electoral victory on Tuesday, as Fox News reported that numerous political pundits and talking heads on all of the major broadcast and cable networks similarly lost control of their emotions and lashed out during the evening's election coverage.
There were countless accusations and rhetorical attacks launched against Trump and his supporters, and allegations that large swathes of the country were dominated by fascists, misogynists, racists, transphobes, and xenophobes, among other choice insults.
As the night progressed and the inevitable result became clear, there was also a fair amount of blame-shifting, finger-pointing, and speculation about how things may have been different if VP Harris had done this or that, or if President Joe Biden hadn't been ousted from the race and replaced, among other theories.
Meanwhile, undoubtedly with a wary remembrance of how things suddenly changed overnight in 2020, tens of millions of Trump voters largely ignored the targeted smears against them and their chosen candidate and allowed themselves to become cautiously optimistic as they watched with enjoyment the leftist media's meltdown grow worse by the hour.
