Democrat admits Hunter Biden committed a crime

A Democratic congressman has just admitted that President Joe Biden's son - Hunter Biden - may have committed some crimes.

The Democratic congressman is U.S. Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT). He is the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee.

Himes made the admission on Friday during an appearance on MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports.

If you want to see the absurdity of this whole situation, read on.

"It is clear that he broke the law . . ."

What prompted Himes's admission - that Hunter Biden may have committed some crimes - is a question from Mitchell about House Republicans' use of the information that has been revealed about Hunter Biden to push an impeachment inquiry into President Biden.

Himes began by taking a shot at Republicans, saying, "So, let me say something that you never heard a Republican member of Congress say in the four years of the Trump administration, which is that if Hunter Biden broke the law, he should be prosecuted."

This is where Himes admitted, "It is clear that [Hunter Biden] broke the law with respect to taxes and possibly the ownership of a handgun."

"He should be held accountable for that," Himes added.

The congressman continued:

If [Hunter Biden] traded on his father’s influence, he should be held accountable for that. And I’m emphasizing this because you never, ever heard a Republican say the same thing about Donald Trump or his family. Now, to the question about impeachment, there is today zero evidence, zero evidence that Joe Biden, the president of the United States, knew about what his son was doing. If, if he did know about it, if he participated in that, then that is a very different conversation.

Background

It should not be surprising that even a Democratic member of Congress has finally admitted that Hunter Biden "broke the law."

It should not be surprising because Hunter Biden, himself, just made a court appearance regarding the tax and gun charges. And, during that court appearance, Hunter Biden, initially, was going to plead "guilty" to those two charges. He only changed his plea to "not guilty" after the "sweetheart" plea deal that he had with the federal government fell apart.

So, it should not be surprising that a Democratic member of Congress has admitted that Hunter Biden "broke the law." But, it is. And, it is because there are Democrats who still refuse to admit as much.

Meanwhile, it does appear as though House Republicans could be moving toward launching an impeachment inquiry against Biden.

The inquiry would regard allegations of corruption.
