DHS Sec. Noem announces massive ad campaign telling illegals to 'leave now'
President Donald Trump really hit the mark when he selected Kristi Noem as his head of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
According to the Daily Mail, Noem recently starred in a $200 million ad campaign that delivers a simple message to illegal immigrants -- and that message is: "Leave now."
The ad, starring Secretary Noem, will air across radio stations, television, and the internet -- both nationwide and internationally according to reports.
Noem, as she announced the ad, praised President Trump for his bold crackdown on illegal immigrants and getting the deportations started.
Statement released
The Department of Homeland Security released a statement announcing the upcoming ad campaign.
" Today, Secretary Kristi Noem announced a nationwide and international multimillion-dollar ad campaign warning illegal aliens to leave our country now or face deportation with the inability to return to the United States. The international ads warn criminal illegal aliens not to come to America and break its laws or they will be hunted down and deported," the statement read.
It added, "Ads will be hyper-targeted, including through social media, text message and digital to reach illegal immigrants in the interior of the United States, as well as internationally."

Noem added a personal quote to the statement praising the president.
"Thank you, President Donald J. Trump, for securing our border and putting America first. President Trump has a clear message: if you are here illegally, we will find you and deport you. You will never return. But if you leave now, you may have an opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American Dream," she said.
Social media reaction
Users across social media weighed in on Noem's announcement.
"We need to see more people voluntary headed south. If not they need to be removed immediately," one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "Document all of them as they leave...and ban them."
Only time will tell how effective the ad will be, but it certainly can't hurt.
