Elon Musk calls attention to VP Harris' false post about Donald Trump

One of the big lies being told by Democrats about former President Donald Trump's policy vision regarding abortion is that he'll work to enact a "national ban" on the procedure if he wins in November.

Vice President Kamala Harris is one of the Democrats spreading the lie, seemingly with zero consequences.

According to Fox News, Harris, in an X post, crossed the line as far as platform owner Elon Musk was concerned, as he pointed out that her misinformation-filled post was fact-checked by the platform's "Community Notes" service.

The Community Notes attachment on the vice president's post was not only humiliating for the White House, but it provided several sources -- from all across the media spectrum -- proving that Trump will not pursue a national abortion ban.

What happened?

"Donald Trump would ban abortion nationwide." VP Harris added, "President @JoeBiden and I will do everything in our power to stop him and restore women's reproductive freedom."

The post, clearly false, was immediately called out by Musk, who took a justified shot at Harris and the White House for spreading false information in the lead-up to the election in November.

Musk held nothing back, writing, "When will politicians, or at least the intern who runs their account, learn that lying on this platform doesn’t work anymore?"

Fox News noted:

The post was hit with a rejoinder from Community Notes, the platform’s way for readers to offer context to messages viewed as false or lacking context. In this case, users posted information from CNN, BBC, The Associated Press, The New York Times, and Trump’s own Truth Social account that went against Harris’ claim.

Trump's position on the matter is easy to find, as Fox News noted:

My view is now that we have abortion where everybody wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine by vote or legislation or perhaps both. And whatever they decide must be the law of the land — in this case, the law of the state.

Social media reacts

VP Harris, given that she's one of the worst vice presidents in American history, is already largely unpopular -- even within her own party -- so social media users did not disappoint in their assessment of Elon Musk making sure the country knew that Harris and the White House were being fact-checked.

"They don’t know how to stop. They get their taking points and just repeat them, regardless of what actually happened," one X user wrote.

Another X user added, "Politicians like Kamala Harris don’t care about what works or not. She just does whatever she wants without consequence. That’s the same mentality that’s ruined all Democrat-led cities."

X, formerly known as Twitter, is a totally different place these days that gives the other side a fighting chance, and a chance for lying liberals to be exposed. It'll be fun to watch the effect that has on the November election.
