First Lady Melania Trump makes history with unique portrait
President Donald Trump's official portrait was released earlier this month, with some observers pointing to similarities with his mugshot.
His portrait isn't the only one to garner attention, as First Lady Melania Trump recently made history with an image of her own.
No first lady has chosen a black-and-white portrait since Ellen Wilson in 1913
Mrs. Trump posted a copy of her portrait to social media on Monday, and it shows the first lady standing over a polished table which reflects her image.
Breitbart pointed out that the striking image is unusual as it is in black-and-white, representing the first time that a first lady has selected a non-color portrait not since 1913.

What's more, the website explained that Mrs. Trump's portrait was styled by French American fashion designer Hervé Pierre.

He outfitted her in a single-breasted twill Turlington tuxedo jacket from Dolce & Gabban along with twill tuxedo pants, a white tuxedo shirt, and a matching black cummerbund.
This is not the first time Pierre has worked with the first lady, as he also helped to arrange her official portrait eight years ago as well.
In addition to turning heads with her portrait, Mrs. Trump also made headlines over the weekend when she traveled to Los Angeles.
The Daily Mail reported that the first lady was seen visiting those who have been affected by the devastating fires which have plagued Los Angeles County over the past several weeks.
Video clip shows first lady comforting fire victim in her native Slovenian
A viral video clip showed her comforting a fire victim in her native Slovenian, with one social media user translating the exchange.
The victim with whom Mrs. Trump spoke explained that she was originally from Serbia but had lived in California since she was a child. The first lady reportedly responded in a mix of Slovenian and Serbian, asking the fire victim about her family.
One YouTube user stated, "Melania speaking her native tongue shows her true personality. She is more herself speaking the language she was born into. You can see she feels comfortable with this lady."
The Daily Mail stressed that Mrs. Trump is fluent in multiple languages, speaking Italian, French, German, English, Serbian, and Slovenian.
