House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) is considering bringing charges related to President Biden's mishandling of classified documents into the impeachment inquiry.

Turner wants to look into President Biden's alleged improper retention and mishandling of classified records both as Vice President and as a Senator. 

During the inquiry, Turner pointed out that there is an ongoing federal criminal investigation into Biden for allegedly mishandling classified documents.

Turner believes that the House needs to be considering those allegations as it considers impeaching President Biden, who Turner referred to as a "classified document hoarder."

The President is already facing an extensive impeachment case and Republicans looking at his classified documents scandal is the last thing he wants right now.

Nightmare situation

President Biden's alleged mishandling of classified documents is a particularly massive issue considering the criminal case that former President Donald Trump is facing over similar allegations.

Democrats and the President so gleefully called for Trump's prosecution but now the tables have turned.

While the current impeachment inquiry is more focused on the President's involvement in his son's corrupt business activities, the classified documents issue isn't much different.

Turner stated, "This committee, in its scope of this investigation, indicates that these classified materials are also relevant because, example, the Oversight committee has requested information regarding the classified materials discovered in the president's home, where his son has resided during the time period relevant to the investigation and personal office."

Turner further explained, "Obviously, his son was receiving payments from Romania, Russia, Ukraine, China. If there are in those documents that relate to, for example, the prosecutor in Ukraine or Burisma itself or other aspects of Ukraine or any of the parties or individuals obviously, that were making payments to Hunter Biden, that would be relevant, wouldn’t it?"

Biden's mishandling and hoarding of classified documents could have very well been directly tied to Hunter Biden's corrupt business.

The walls are closing in

So far, President Biden has been safe from his scandals that originated before he became President, but that's now changing.

Turner believes that President Biden's mishandling of classified documents, presumably in order to facilitate his son's deals, endangered America's national security.

If House Republicans can show that the President endangered our national security, the case for impeaching Biden will be that much stronger.
