Vice President Kamala Harris was recently caught using another dubious accent. 

Fox News reports that the latest incident took place on Saturday night at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Phoenix Awards Dinner in Washington, D.C.

Harris has garnered significant attention, since taking over as the Democratic Party's presidential nominee, for using a number of different accents on different occasions. Critics argue that this merely another way that Harris is trying to pander to voters.

Get ready to cringe

At the gala, the New York Post reports Harris as having "altered the tone of voice at the start of her remarks."

Per the outlet:

“Hello to all my divine nine brothers and sisters… ” Harris said with a laugh — a reference the the major fraternities and sororities at historically black colleges and universities. (Harris is herself an alumna, having been a sister at Alpha Kappa Alpha at Howard University.)

Unlike other related incidents, Harris did not keep the fake accent up for the remainder of her speech - or, at least, for most of it.

The Post reports, "She then reverted back to her traditional manner of speaking for most of the duration of the speech at the Phoenix Awards dinner — with a few exceptions during moments when she grew animated."

It's not the first time; it won't be the last

Harris has been caught using various accents on various occasions during her campaigning for the presidency.

Something that Fox points out is that Harris, herself, never had any of the accents that she takes on.

"Harris was raised in Canada but has broken out varying accents from around the United States depending on where she was campaigning," the outlet reports.

At times, the pandering has been egregious. For example, Fox reports, "The vice president was panned earlier this month when side-by-side clips showed her seemingly using different accents while campaigning in Detroit and Pittsburgh, hours apart."

Harris herself has not addressed the situation. The White House, for its part, has attempted to brush it off as unimportant.
