During President Donald Trump’s first term in the White House, many were surprised by the prominent administration role given to his daughter, Ivanka Trump.

Though Ivanka Trump chose not to join her father in Washington. D.C. in such a high-profile manner this time around, it has just emerged that she has accepted one particularly noteworthy assignment on the current administration’s behalf, as the Daily Mail reports, namely, the orchestration of a UFC event on the White House grounds next summer.

Return to duty?

In the wake of her father’s first presidency, Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, departed D.C. in favor of Miami, Florida, where they set about building a more private life for themselves and their three children.

Though she declared her full support of her father’s quest for a second term, Ivanka was determined to stay above the fray, declaring emphatically, “I hate politics.”

Even so, the White House website lists Ms. Trump as an “adviser” to the president, concentrating on “the education and economic empowerment of women and their families as well as job creation and economic growth through workforce development, skills training, and entrepreneurship.”

It emerged this week that Ivanka Trump is also set to play a significant role in planning and executing an event near and dear to her dad’s heart, namely, a UFC event set to be held on the grounds of the White House next July as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary of independence.

UFC chief Dana White spilled the beans on Ivanka’s involvement with the event during an interview on CBS Mornings.

White tells all

According to White, the UFC extravaganza will take place on July 4, 2026, and will be the first event of its kind at the White House.

“It’s definitely going to happen,” White said of the UFC fight at the people's house.

He added that he has spoken to the president about the planning process and is set to meet with him and Ivanka Trump before month’s end to solidify details and discuss renderings of proposed staging.

White continued, “When [the president] called me and asked me to do it, he said, ‘I want Ivanka in the middle of this,’ so Ivanka reached out to me, and her and I started talking about the possibilities, where it would be and, you know, I put together the renderings.”

Though no fighters have been selected for the event at this early date, the spectacle is sure to be one of a kind, given that the sport routinely sells out large stadiums across the country.

An anniversary to remember

From the moment he took office for a second time, Trump has made it clear that he intends to mark the 250th anniversary of America’s independence in truly memorable fashion, issuing an order outlining the grand scope and scale of commemorations he hopes to see.

With a task force created to manage the festivities and newly conceived features such as the “National Garden of American Heroes,” enhanced protections for national monuments, and the planned UFC bout at the presidential residence, this will certainly be an anniversary few in America will forget anytime soon.
