The Trump family had a bit of a scare with one of the youngest members, forcing Ivanka Trump to rush to the hospital.

According to the Daily Caller, Ivanka Trump received a call this week that her son, Theo, a six-year-old, had sadly broken his wrist at school.

The young lad reportedly broke his wrist, a nasty injury, while playing soccer. Unfortunately, it was described as a "bad break," but Ivanka Trump reported that her little boy had been taken care of quite well.

Theo was reportedly so well taken care of that by the end of the ordeal, he was more excited about the ice pops that he received at the hospital.

What a scare

Ivanka Trump, in an Instagram post, provided a fully detailed account of what transpired that day, saying that when she received the call, she was over an hour away from her son's school.

"This week I received a call from the school nurse that every parent dreads. My 6-year-old son Theo broke his wrist while playing soccer. Since I was over an hour's drive away, an ambulance took Theo, accompanied by the school nurse, to the closest hospital. Jared and I raced to meet him, Jared arriving at the same time as the ambulance and me getting there a few minutes later," she wrote.

Ivanka Trump added: "It was a bad break, but the capable EMT, doctors, nurses and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital staff cared for Theo tenderly and professionally. Theo’s visit culminated with two ice pops, which led to him declaring 'this is the best day ever!'

The nurse turned to me and said, 'This is why I’m in pediatrics! No adult in the emergency room has ever said something like that when given an ice pop,'" the president's oldest daughter added.

She was so thrilled with the extreme care provided to her son that she announced that her and Jared Kushner made a donation as a thank you.

"Jared and I are so grateful to the doctors, nurses, EMTs, and hospital staff who cared for our son. With gratitude in our hearts, we have made a donation to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Hospital responds

While it's unclear how much Ivanka Trump and her husband donated to the hospital, it responded to her Instagram post, which had received roughly a quarter of a million likes at the time of this writing.

"We’re so grateful for your trust in our skilled medical staff! It’s a privilege to care for Theo, and all the sweet children who come through our doors," the hospital wrote.

It added: "Thank you for your support – it enables us to continue to provide high-quality care with the utmost compassion."

While a wrist break is certainly one of the more painful and frustrating breaks an adult or child can experience, it goes without saying that it could always be much worse. Thankfully, the little guy looks like he's gonna be just fine.
