While ramping up his criticism of Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris and digging into his claim that she never worked at the fast-food chain while in college, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump visited a McDonald's in Pennsylvania on Sunday.

"Hello, everybody. It's my first day at McDonald's; I'm looking for a job," Trump said as he entered the establishment and shook hands with the owner, as Fox News reported.

A crowd of thousands of Trump supporters gathered outside the McDonald's restaurant as Trump, following his accusation that Harris lied about her employment there. The former president spent the afternoon with voters, including preparing their fries.

"I've now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala at McDonald's," Trump said through the drive-thru window as he handed out orders.

The Finer Point

The former president was making a point by calling out Vice President Kamala Harris for her claim that she'd worked at a McDonalds.

Trump repeated his belief that Harris's claim of having working for the famous chain at a Friday night campaign rally in Detroit, saying Harris “lied about working at McDonald’s.”

“That’s like not a big thing, but can I be honest with you, it’s terrible,” he said.

Harris has worked hard to paint herself as coming from a working class "middle class" background, reaching out to those who are notoriously red-leaning voters.

The McDonald’s owner, Derek Giacomantonio, weighed in on his famous guest worker, saying, “It is a fundamental value of my organization that we proudly open our doors to everyone who visits the Feasterville community.”

He spoke to his motivation on allowing the former president to make an appearance, syaing in a statement that was why he accepted Trump’s request “to observe the transformative working experience that 1 in 8 Americans have had: a job at McDonald’s.”

Before taking time to dole out fries, Trump told reporters when he got off his plane: “I’m going for a job right now at McDonald’s,” before adding, “I really wanted to do this all my life … And now I'm going to do it because she didn't do it."

A Brazilian woman who was one of Trump's surprised drive-thrus urged the former president to save America from becoming another Brazil.

"Yes, thank you. Mr. President, please don't let the United States become Brazil, my native Brazil, please," the driver pleads.

"We're gonna make it better than ever, ok?" Trump says and shakes her hand while continuing to greet the crowd through the drive-thru window.
