Joe Biden signed majority of presidential documents with an autopen signature
President Joe Biden reportedly used an autopen signature for nearly every document he signed as president, raising questions about the legitimacy of Biden's many orders.
An extensive report by the Heritage Foundation found that Biden used the autopen signature for nearly every document, raising questions about whether Biden “actually ordered the signature of relevant legal documents."
In a post to X, the Heritage Foundation Oversight Project wrote, "WHOEVER CONTROLLED THE AUTOPEN CONTROLLED THE PRESIDENCY. We gathered every document we could find with Biden’s signature over the course of his presidency. All used the same autopen signature except for the announcement that the former President was dropping out of the race last year. Here is the autopen signature."
The constant use of this autopen signature raises questions about whether individuals in the White House were using Biden's autopen to sign orders that Biden had never seen or intended to sign.
The importance of the President's signature to verify the authenticity of the authority of a document cannot be understated, and these findings seem to further indicate that President Joe Biden was not in charge.
Abuse Of Autopen Signatures
Biden's autopen signature was completed by a machine and could be done without Biden being present or needing to review the document being signed in any way.
Fox News broke down the Heritage Foundation's report, saying, "The Oversight Project posted three examples showing Biden’s signature, including two executive orders and the president’s announcement he was bowing out of the 2024 presidential race. The signature on the two executive orders, one of which was signed in 2022 and the other in 2024, showed the same signature that included what appeared to be a line, followed by “R. Biden Jr."
Fox News further noted, "Biden’s signature on the document announcing his departure from the 2024 race varied from the other two posted by the Oversight Project, showing a signature that wasn’t as clear as the one on the executive orders."
These discoveries have prompted legal action with Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey demanding information on if Biden's radical staff abused his autopen signature to sign off on radical policy that Biden himself never reviewed.
In a post to X, Bailey explained, "I am demanding the DOJ investigated whether President Biden’s cognitive decline allowed unelected staff to push through radical policy without his knowing approval. If true, these executive orders, pardons, and all other actions are unconstitutional and legally void."
There could be serious implications for Biden's executive orders and other actions as well as criminal investigations into Biden's White House aides who may have abused the autopen signature.
Criminal Charges
In a letter to the Justice Department, Bailey argued that "There are profound reasons to suspect that Biden’s staff and political allies exploited his mental decline to issue purported presidential orders without his knowing approval."
These accusations are a reminder of a story from House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), who said that President Biden was unaware of an executive order on LNG exports that bore his signature.
Biden reportedly told Johnson that he hadn't signed any such executive order, prompting Johnson to present a copy of the order. That story didn't gain much traction, but with the Heritage Foundation's report, it's clear Biden didn't know what he was signing or never even saw some executive orders.
