Kamala Harris says 'everybody needs to be woke' in viral video
Democrats and their media allies have attempted to portray Vice President Kamala Harris as a moderate figure ahead of this year's election.
However, a video clip of the vice president that could send those efforts spiraling recently surfaced on social media.
"Everybody needs to be woke"
According to Fox News, the footage was recorded at Recode's annual Code Conference in 2017 when Harris was serving as a senator from California.
"We have to stay woke. Everyone needs to be woke."

"We have to stay woke," Harris said as she sat alongside philanthropist Laurene Powell Jobs, widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs.
"Like everybody needs to be woke. And you can talk about if you're the wokest or woker, but just stay more woke than less woke," the then-lawmaker added.
Fox News pointed out that the term "woke" has become something of "a catch-all" term used to describe various left-wing values and causes.
Harris slammed Trump for trying "to shut our door to refugees"
In addition to calling on Americans to embrace wokeness, Harris also took issue with former President Donald Trump's immigration policy.
"I get upset when we say we're going to shut our door to refugees who are fleeing such atrocities and have been standing in line for two years to qualify for refugee status, and they arrive here, and we turn them away," Fox News quoted her as stating. She further declared, "Yes, I'm gonna get mad about that."
The featuring clip Harris did not go unnoticed by critics, including Tennessee Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn, who highlighted it in a social media post of her own.
What's more, Blackburn also drew attention to recent remarks made by Minnesota Democratic Tim Walz, who Harris has selected as her running mate.
Walz likened "socialism" to "neighborliness" during campaign call
Fox News reported that during a "White Dudes for Harris" call earlier this week, Walz at one point said, "Don't ever shy away from our progressive values. One person’s socialism is another person's neighborliness."
Conservative podcast host Ben Shapiro spoke up as well, writing that Harris delivered "a massive gift to the Republicans" by choosing Walz.
"He's a radical Leftist from a non-swing state with a long history of insane statements, who presided over the burning down of his state in 2020," Shapiro stressed.
