Kamala's husband has awkward interaction with NBA star Steph Curry

If Doug Emhoff keeps making these kinds of embarrassing mistakes, it could end up being FATAL for Kamala Harris campaign.

New video shows Kamala Harris' husband having an extremely awkward interaction with Team USA basketball star Steph Curry after Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and the rest of Team USA captured the gold medal at the 2024 Olympics.

Doug Emhoff works hard to portray himself as an avid sports fan. After the game, Emhoff was filmed greeting Steph Curry, Team USA's leading scorer and many-time NBA champion.

It didn't go well.

At first glance, the video might not look like much, but eagle-eyed social media users are pointing out that Doug Emhoff's body language suggested that he was making several social faux paus.

"While it is unclear what Emhoff and Curry said to one another during the celebratory exchange, some observers pointed to the second gentleman's body language," Fox News explained. "Shortly after greeting Curry, Emhoff made a gesture with his hands that suggested he was attempting to project his voice even though the NBA superstar was standing just a couple of feet away."

If Doug Emhoff likes sports as much as he says he does, he should get it together when interacting with athletes before people think he's too awkward to be America's First Gentleman. This country is already suspicious of him, with his crazy progressive daughter constantly calling Kamala "Brat" and sick allegations of cheating on the mother of his children.

Doug Emhoff's sports fandom

Even Kamala Harris has tried to play up Emhoff as some sort of sports nut. Doug has been a Los Angeles Lakers season ticket holder for years and Kamala Harris said in her book that "Emhoff initially reached out to her in a text message he sent from a Lakers game."

"It’s what brings us together," Emhoff said about sports during a recent interview with The Associated Press.

"Because of what’s happening in the real world, sports is one of those things that we can all agree on. It brings us together. We can be in a room with 20,000 people, all cheering for the same thing. We can all talk about it. I can talk to my son about it. I can talk to my father about it. It brings generations together."

Team USA triumph

If Emhoff likes sports as much as he says he does, then he certainly has a lot to be proud about in relation to America's basketball performance in Paris. Both the men's and women's teams defeated France in the gold medal game to claim the title of best in the world.

Steph Curry was the leading scorer for America at the Olympic games, and the Golden State Warriors star has already endorsed Kamala Harris.

Perhaps the best game of the tournament for Steph Curry was Team USA's impressive fourth-quarter comeback against Serbia. Beating Serbia at any stage of the tournament is no small feat, as their star Nikola Jokic is considered by most to be the best basketball player on the planet at this moment.

Despite trailing for much of the game and by as much as 17 points, Steph Curry was not going to go down without a fight. Curry scored 36 points in the semifinal game before going on to win the gold medal round as well.

America's athletes are making us proud to be an American. Doug Emhoff's handshakes are not.
