Melania Trump says she and her husband will 'will safeguard the heart of our republic'
First Lady Melania Trump made headlines earlier this year when she released a memoir which detailed her four years in the White House.
Mrs. Trump will likely end up with enough material for another book after her husband stunned D.C. last week with his second election victory.
"We will safeguard the heart of our republic – freedom"
As the BBC noted, she heralded President-elect Donald's return to Washington in a social media post this past Wednesday, writing, "The majority of Americans have entrusted us with this important responsibility."

"We will safeguard the heart of our republic – freedom. I anticipate the citizens of our nation rejoining in commitment to each other and rising above ideology for the sake of individual liberty, economic prosperity, and security," Mrs. Trump pledged.
"American energy, skill, and initiative will bring together our best minds to propel our nation forward forevermore," the first lady went on to promise.
Author: Mrs. Trump was "unique among modern first ladies"
Mrs. Trump generally maintained a lower profile than some of her predecessors, a fact which some observers believe will be repeated.
One of the pundits making that prediction is author and Boston University associate professor of communications Tammy Vigil.
"She's been unique among modern first ladies," said Vigil, who has written books about Mrs. Trump as well as former First Lady Michelle Obama.
"She does things the way she wants to do them, as opposed to the way she has to do them," Vigil declared. "But she fulfills the base expectations."
Vigil went on to predict that the soon-to-be first lady will "make choices about how active in public she wants to be," adding, "And I think she'll do that much more intentionally."
Biographer claims that first lady enjoyed her time in the White House
Meanwhile, the BBC noted that former CNN reporter Kate Bennett and Trump biographer said in 2021 that Mrs. Trump "liked all the accouterments that go with being first lady and living in the White House."
However, not all of Mrs. Trump's experiences in Washington were positive, something which she acknowledged in her memoir.
One example included facing false and politically motivated assertions that her son Barron is on the autism spectrum.
