Recent reports indicate that two fraudsters linked to Nancy Pelosi's son will be imprisoned for money laundering and mail fraud.

Paul Pelosi Jr., 55, has been heavily investigated by journalists for his involvement in seven federal cases, as the Daily Mail reported.

Federal prosecutors charged fraudsters Bill Garlock and Gina Rodriguez with unclear activities over Pelosi Jr.'s San Francisco flop house.

Garlock and Rodriguez pleaded guilty and will be sentenced in March, according to the publication.

The Pelosi Connection

Experts question why Pelosi Jr., who was identified as paying bribes for building permits on his Mission District flop house, was not indicted after the recent law enforcement bust of real estate dealers linked to him.

Vice president of research at the transparency think tank Government Accountability Institute Seamus Bruner said Pelosi Jr.'s links to many federal cases without allegations raise worries that he was given preferential treatment owing to his last name.

"The US Justice Department has a history of sheltering and protecting the family members of powerful political elites," Bruner said.

"We've seen it time and again with the Clintons and the Bidens. There can be no question that a last name like Pelosi is going to carry weight among California-based prosecutors who want to advance their careers at the federal level."

The Projects in Question

According to federal prosecutors in San Francisco, Garlock and Rodriguez deceived investors into providing them with well over one million dollars for what they claimed were real estate endeavors.

However, they used the money to pay their own rent, loan repayments, credit card bills, and even "horse-related expenses."

The two individuals are accused of obtaining funds from investors "by means of materially false and fraudulent pretenses, representations, and promises, and by means of concealment of material facts, including through the use of half-truths ," according to an indictment that was filed against them in 2022.

One of the property ventures that they proposed was the repair of a run-down mixed-use building located in the Mission District of San Francisco. This structure had a troublesome history of code breaches and dismal circumstances for its unfortunate residents.

DailyMail.com conducted an investigation in the past that proved Pelosi Jr. had extensive connections to the building that is located at the intersection of Utah Street and 24th Street.

In 2017, he was involved in a bribery scam to obtain licenses for the property, which resulted in the arrest of a city official and an engineering consultant after an FBI investigation brought them to justice. At the time, he claimed that he controlled twenty percent of the land.
