Poll: most Americans believe illegal aliens will vote in the 2024 elections

A new poll has found that the majority of Americans believe that illegal immigrants will illegally vote in the upcoming 2024 elections.

This is a major concern of former President Donald Trump, of Republicans, and of anyone who values the integrity of our country's elections.

The poll comes from the Napolitan News Service. The results were just released on Friday, Aug. 23, 2024.

The pollster surveyed some 1,000 registered voters between Aug. 21 and Aug. 22, 2024. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

Trump is right

The pollster asked participants three separate questions, and the answers that respondents provided would seem to vindicate Trump's and other Republicans' position on this issue.

First, the pollster asked participants whether they would be in favor of a proposal that would "require voters to show photo ID before being allowed to vote." 63% said that they are "strongly" in favor and 24% said that they "somewhat" favor the proposal. Only 9% opposed the proposal at all.

Next, the pollster asked participants whether they would be in favor of "allowing people who are not U.S. citizens to vote in elections for the president and Members of Congress?" 60% "strongly oppose" the idea and 15% "somewhat oppose" the idea, while only 19% are in favor of it.

Finally, the pollster asked participants, "How likely is it that a large number of illegal immigrants will be allowed to vote in this year's elections?"

Here, 27% said "very likely" and 27% said "somewhat likely." On the other hand, 17% said "not very likely" and 19% said "not at all likely."

That's a clear majority on a major issue

If one sums up the numbers, one will find that 87% of participants are in favor of a photo identification requirement for voters, 75% are against allowing illegal immigrants to vote in federal elections, and 54% said that they believe illegal immigrants will illegally vote in the 2024 elections.

With percentages like that, a photo ID requirement ought to be a no-brainer. But, it isn't.

Just the News reports:

The poll comes as Republicans in Congress attempt to push through the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which requires voters to prove their citizenship in the United States in order to vote in federal elections. The bill has passed the House, but not the Senate.

This, of course, is because the House is controlled by Republicans, while the Senate is controlled by Democrats.

Imagine being the party that is against basic measures - like a photo ID requirement - to protect our elections. That's the Democrats.
