President Biden spends second weekend in a row on vacation at the beach

One might think that after President Joe Biden was ousted from the 2024 presidential election by his own party he would spend the rest of his time in the White House getting done whatever he possibly could to save face, if for anything.

But that doesn't appear to be the case. Not only has Biden largely avoided cameras, he's also spent his fair share of time at the beach in his home state of Delaware.

According to the Daily Mail, the elderly, lame-duck president returned to Rehoboth, Delaware for a trip to the beach for the second weekend in a row.

Not that it's a shocker, as he's spent more time on vacation throughout his presidency than most presidents in modern U.S. history.

What's going on?

Photos of President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden chilling on the beach emerged over the weekend -- the second weekend in a row for a beach getaway.

The Republican National Committee's X account posted an interesting tidbit regarding Biden's vacation time since becoming president, noting that he was not only on his 16th day in a row of vacation, but that he has spent a staggering total of 532 days on vacation since being elected.

That's just over 40% of his presidency. It's no wonder so many people ask who's running the country.

The Daily Mail noted:

Biden arrived in Rehoboth Beach on Sunday after spending a week at an 8,000-acre ranch in Santa Ynez, California.

The couple - along with their children and grandchildren - stayed at a California ranch owned by Democratic donor billionaire Joe Kiani.

Given his extreme amount of vacation time since several high-profile Democrats essentially booted him out of the race after his debate with former President Donald Trump, the White House still attempted to defend him.

White House defends

In a Zoom briefing with reporters, National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby defended his boss and the extreme amount of time on vacation as of late.

"The president is on vacation, but you can never unplug and from a job like that. Nor does he try to," Kirby said, adding, "He's very much in command."

Many believe that Biden has essentially given up in his final days in office, despite messaging coming from the White House.

"Where's Biden?" has also trended as a topic on X more than once.
