Melania Trump's continued absence from her husband's arraignments has become a source of gossip in the mainstream media.

But sources close to the Trumps say Melania remains a steadfast supporter of her husband as he faces down an unprecedented political witch hunt. Far from being aloof and tuned out, as widely portrayed in the media, Melania is Trump's "secret weapon," PageSix reported.

"Melania is being credited by his friends with keeping President Trump ‘calm and focused’ amid the hellish week of his being indicted for the third time," a source said.

Melania still supports husband

In the mainstream media, the famously private Melania Trump has long been depicted as secretly resentful of her husband and the burdens of his historic, and controversial, political career.

Her husband has often spoken about the good life he had before he entered politics and caused America's liberal elites to go insane - and it's doubtful he would be facing any criminal charges if he had simply retired.

The former first lady was not present when her husband was indicted for a third time last week - this time on vague charges of "lying" about the 2020 election. Melania also missed her husband's previous arraignments for mishandling classified documents and paying "hush money" to Stormy Daniels.

Although many continue to speculate that Melania is indifferent to her husband's costly political aspirations, behind the scenes, she supports him all the way.

"She backs his bid for a second term completely, and listens to him when he needs someone he can trust . . . she is obsessively private, she never gossips with even her closest friends, so Trump knows when they talk about important things it’s just between them," sources said.

Secret weapon

PageSix reports that she is her husband's "secret weapon" to keeping him "grounded" in what must be an extraordinarily stressful situation.

“She listens and isn’t afraid to give her honest opinions and advice,” the source said.

“The couple has worked out a schedule and routine that works for them. She is his secret weapon to staying grounded.”

The New York Times recently reported that Melania was skeptical of the guilty verdict in her husband's civil rape case and that she was dismayed with her husband's lawyers during the trial. She is also "defensive of her husband" and "deeply distrustful of the mainstream media."

It sounds like Donald Trump has a loving and devoted wife who wants him to succeed - a foreign concept to many on the left, no doubt.
