Border czar Tom Homan let Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have it with both barrels on Newsmax on Monday, calling her the "dumbest Congresswoman" for opposing ICE's efforts to deport criminal illegal immigrants.

“She’s the dumbest Congresswoman ever who was let into Congress, and she proves that every day. And look, bottom line is I can’t believe any member of Congress, Republican, Democrat, independent, would want to educate criminal illegal aliens who are in the country illegally, been convicted of a violent crime and have been ordered removed by an immigration judge after due process at great taxpayer expense,” Homan said.

Homan was referring to Ocasio-Cortez advising illegal immigrants on how to evade ICE enforcement; in other words, telling them how to get away with breaking the law.

His criticism included statements that Ocasio-Cortez could be aiding criminals and other dangerous people by giving the advice she did.

"What the hell?"

“You got a congresswoman that does not want ICE to do the job that Congress has mandated them to do and funds them to do. She doesn’t want ICE to enforce the laws they enacted, and what the hell is Congress doing? They can spend their time doing better things, rather than writing laws they didn’t want us to enforce,” Homan said.

Homan reiterated that the Trump administration isn't going after otherwise law-abiding illegal immigrants with the same focus that they are those who have committed other crimes.

Illegally entering the country is a crime, so in reality all illegal immigrants are criminals, but ICE under Trump is focusing on people who pose a threat to national security or safety.

“President Trump and me have been clear from day one. We’re concentrating on public safety threats and national security threats. She can call it ‘education and constitutional rights’ all she wants, but we all know what she’s doing,” Homan said.

A warning

Homan gave a stark warning to Ocasio-Cortez and other leaders who would help illegal immigrants evade ICE.

“She’s out there telling people how to evade enforcement, how to evade ICE arrests, and, again, the most dangerous of the illegal aliens in the country, giving them heads up, and I’ll say it again. I hope she’s not educating the next murderer of a college nursing student or not educating the next illegal alien who’s gonna burn a woman alive on a subway,” Homan added.

Homan referred to cases involving horrific crimes committed by illegal immigrants, like the murder of Georiga nursing student Laken Riley and a New Year's Eve murder of a homeless woman who was allegedly set on fire in a New York subway by an illegal immigrant from Guatamala.

Ocasio-Cortez live-streamed an event on her Facebook page titled “Know Your Rights With ICE,” which advised migrants to deal with ICE agents by refusing entry, requesting departure, and remaining silent if questioned.

Homan said Friday that Ocasio-Cortez could be in trouble if it is determined that she is impeding law enforcement efforts.

He said he sent a letter to the deputy attorney general requesting guidance.
