Former President Donald Trump was hit with additional charges by Special Counsel Jack Smith last week, but that hasn't stopped him from continuing his strong momentum headed into the 2024 presidential race.

According to Breitbart, shortly after news broke of the additional charges in the classified documents probe, Trump laid out his "Agenda 47" vision at a Republican Party of Iowa dinner in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday.

Iowa is a crucial state to win over early in the presidential election game, as it's the first state in the nation to hold a caucus for the Republican primaries.

Trump vowed to take several avenues of action should he win the White House in 2024.

What will he do?

After laying out a list of accomplishments from his previous time in the White House, Trump assured Iowa voters that one of his primary missions is taking out the "deep state" once and for all.

"I will obliterate the deep state," Trump told the enthusiastic audience. "We will say no on 87,000 IRS agents who want to take your money and much worse than that."

In his 10-minute speech, Trump also stressed that he wouldn't be a target of President Joe Biden's Justice Department if he weren't running for the White House in 2024.

"They want to weaponize the IRS just like they’ve weaponized the Justice Department and the FBI," Trump added. "And, by the way, if I weren’t running, I would have nobody coming after me, or if I was losing by a lot, I would have nobody coming after me.”

On the border issue

Also at the top of Trump's list is his insistence that he can fix Biden's southern U.S. border disaster by implementing his former border policies that were essentially wiped away on the first day of Biden's presidency.

"I would immediately cancel every single open borders policy of the Biden administration and stop the invasion of criminals, in many cases, coming into our country. I had the safest border in the history of our country, and we will do it again, and we’ll get it done very quickly," Trump said.

He has also vowed to end the Russia/Ukraine war "within 24 hours."

Only time will tell if Trump manages to continue dominating the GOP race for the nomination amid multiple legal battles. So far, they haven't seemed to even make a dent.
