As we all remember, Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic fundraising machine put most of their chips on celebrity endorsements, thinking it would help Harris cruise to an easy win.

One of those major endorsements came from singing star Taylor Swift, who happens to reach a critical group of young and impressionable voters.

But according to the Daily Mail, a recent poll showed that President-elect Donald Trump still managed to win over about a third of Swift's fans, according to a new survey.

The poll, released by J.L. Partners for DailyMail.com, showed the impact of pop culture on the election, and revealed how Trump still managed to win even as celebrities lined up to endorse Harris.

What did it say?

Despite Swift's endorsement of Harris in the lead-up to Election Day, which many Democrats believed was the big ace up the sleeve of the Harris campaign, Trump managed to win support of a staggering 29% of Swift's fans.

Perhaps even more shocking was the endorsement Harris received from Beyonce. Among Beyonce fans, only 53% supported Harris, while Trump managed to nab 28% from that group, proving that not all fans of pop music are easily brainwashed.

In a long list of celebrities revealed by the poll, Trump managed to pull impressive numbers from fans of each one, and even the majority of fans in some categories.

The Daily Mail noted:

The poll found a plurality of Miley Cyrus fans - 43 percent - backed Trump, while 39 percent supported Harris.

It also found fans of Justin Bieber breaking narrowly for Trump by 42 percent to 41 percent. Meanwhile, 44 percent of Coldplay fans backed Trump, and only 39 percent Harris. And 44 percent of Ed Sheeran fans supported Trump compared with 37 percent for Harris.

Trump's biggest musical win was among Morgan Wallen fans who gave him a 43-point lead over Harris.

The poll also looked at how fans of popular TV and cable shows voted, and Trump once again scored plenty of victories, with some unexpected.

The outlet added:

Meanwhile, fans of The Bachelorette also backed Harris by 51 percent to 39 percent for Trump.

Trump won among fans of Friends by 45 percent to 41 percent.

Celebrity bust

The Harris campaign has been widely criticized for spending so much time, money and overall resources into recruiting Hollywood celebs to back her campaign.

With inflation at all-time highs and average, voting Americans unable to afford groceries, gas, and rent, instead of connecting with working-class Americans, the Harris campaign thought they would blindly follow the thoughts and opinions of ultra-rich, elitist celebrities.

Obviously, that tactic failed in spectacular fashion.

Democrats have a lot to learn before they have a shot at winning another election.
