In the wake of what's now known as the release of the "Twitter Files" by Elon Musk, the company's new owner, former President Donald Trump has a lot to say about it, Breitbart reports

The files, which will reportedly be a multi-week release, show mountains of evidence that proves Twitter was used, primarily by Democratic operations and powers, to censor opposing viewpoints, or what they label as "misinformation."

The first few days of the document dump, aggregated by independent journalist Matt Taibbi, revealed proof that Big Tech social media platforms, such as Twitter under its old ownership, routinely suppressed important stories and viewpoints, mostly targeting conservative voices.

Trump took to Truth Social over the weekend to express his views on the matter, which have since gone viral.

What did Trump say?

In no uncertain terms, the former president suggested that he be immediately reinstalled as president, citing the Twitter Files document dump as proof that the 2020 election was rigged.

"So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION?" Trump wrote Sunday.

Trump's next remarks stirred immediate controversy on both sides, as he seemed to suggest that such a revelation voids parts of the U.S. Constitution.

"A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!" Trump wrote.

Doubling down on all fronts, Trump insisted in later posts that the 2020 election has now been proven to have been rigged to the degree that results would have been different, while suggesting that "unprecedented" measures could be taken.

"The world is laughing at the United States of America and its corrupt and rigged Presidential Election of 2020!” he said. “UNPRECEDENTED FRAUD REQUIRES UNPRECEDENTED CURE!" Trump wrote.

Slamming McConnell

Trump has also launched several attacks on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). The former president continued his attack line and tied it in with his other claims.

"I wonder what Mitch McConnell, the RINOS, and all of the weak Republicans who couldn’t get the Presidential Election of 2020 approved and out of the way fast enough, are thinking now?"

He added, "They are a disgrace to our great Party, and to our Nation, which has become a laughing stock all over the World!"

Trump, who formally declared his intention to run for the presidency in 2024, appears to be setting up a GOP primary that could involve a long list of heavy-hitting Republican hopefuls, including his former sidekick, Vice President Mike Pence.
