Adan Canto

Adan Canto, one of the stars from hit shows “The Cleaning Lady” and “Designated Survivor” has died after a quiet battle with cancer.

Canto kept his appendiceal cancer, a rare form of intestinal cancer, diagnosed and treatment completely private.

There is no information on when the actor was originally diagnoses or the amount of time, he underwent treatment.

Canto was just 42 years old when he passed away and left behind a wife, Stephanie Ann Canto, and two children, ages 3 and 1.

Stephanie Ann Canto has shared a beautiful tribute to her husband on Instagram, sharing a Bible verse and saying “Forever my treasure Adan, see you soon.”

Canto is also the actor who played “Sunspot” in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Fox and WBTV have released a statement surrounding the Canto’s death.

“We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Adan Canto. A wonderful actor and dear friend, we were honored to have him as part of the Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment families since his U.S. debut in The Following more than a decade ago. Most recently, he lit up the screen in The Cleaning Lady with a powerful performance that showcased his artistry, range, depth and vulnerability. This is an unfathomable loss, and we grieve alongside his wife Stephanie, their children and loved ones. We will miss Adan dearly,” the Fox-WBTV statement said.

It is absolutely heartbreaking to lose someone so young, especially someone as talented as Canto.

We will never see where his career could have gone and the other roles he could have taken.

There are not many who can say they accomplished so much during such a short time on this earth.

Canto started from nothing, leaving home at just 16 and fighting for every ounce of success he earned. Nothing Canto had was ever handed to him and it made him appreciate it all the more.

It is never easy to lose a loved one. Our hearts go out to his beautiful wife and children and anyone else who loved Adan Canto. May they have peace and comfort during this horrific and unimaginable period of grief.
