Rumors are spreading about supposed troubles in Vice President J.D. Vance's marriage after his wife, Usha, was spotted without her wedding ring. 

The Daily Mail reports that Usha was spotted without her ring during her recent travel with First Lady Melania Trump to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune.

As we will see, though, it appears very likely that these rumors are competely without merit.

The missing ring

Photographs are circulating the internet of Usha Vance without her wedding ring.

The Daily Mail reports:

The Second Lady was ringless during her visit to Camp Lejeune military base in Richlands, North Carolina on Wednesday with First Lady Melania Trump.  Photos show Usha, 39, getting off a plane with her left hand in full view – and the wedding band nowhere to be seen. Additional images from Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River confirm the ring remained off throughout the visit. The Vice President, meanwhile, was photographed wearing his wedding band during a speaking event in Washington on Thursday.

The outlet notes that this comes "weeks after [Vance] publicly revealed the religious divide in their marriage."

Indeed, Fox News covered that story.

Earlier this month, the outlet reported:

Vice President JD Vance opened up last week about his interfaith marriage, offering a candid look at how faith, family, and respect intersect in his household. During a public appearance, Vance discussed his and his wife’s differing religious upbringings, and how open communication has helped them navigate spiritual differences while raising their children.

Usha responds

As you can probably tell, nothing that Vice President Vance said about their religious beliefs suggested that there was any problem with their marriage.

The Vance's confirmed that this whole story is just a bunch of baseless gossip through a spokesperson.

People magazine reports:

After Usha Vance was spotted out without her wedding ring on, rumors about her marriage to Vice President JD Vance began to swirl. A spokesperson for the second lady has now addressed them . . . Amid the speculation, a spokesperson for the second lady — who is very private and rarely speaks with press — addressed the ringless appearance in a statement to PEOPLE.

The outlet quotes the spokesperson as saying that Usha is “a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes.”

In other words, this looks as though it is one of the stories in which the leftist mainstream media is attempting to drive a wedge between two happily married people because one happens to be part of the Trump administration.
