First Lady Melania Trump's official White House portrait was released last week and it was nothing short of jaw-dropping -- except for the Trump Derangement Syndrome-stricken staffers and editors at Vogue magazine.

According to Fox News, the fashion mag slammed the first lady's portrait, which was shot in a black-and-white stunner of a photo session.

The magazine is already catching flak for downing the portrait, with many demanding that the publication, which once adored the Trumps before they entered the White House, apologize for the classless attack on Melania.

The publication said Melania looked more like she was posing for a picture on her husband's former hit TV show, "The Apprentice."

What's going on?

The photo was shot by Belgian photographer Régine Mahaux, and was widely praised by Trump's supporters.

The Independent noted:

The official image, printed in black-and-white and shot by Belgian photographer Régine Mahaux, features the 54-year-old woman standing over a reflective desk while dressed in a finely-tailored Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo jacket, an unbuttoned white undershirt, and suit pants.

And even though everyone at Vogue knows the shot is beyond perfect, the magazine's editor clearly let politics get in the way of showing even a little bit of class.

"Indeed, Trump looked more like she was guest starring on an episode of The Apprentice than assuming the role of first lady of the United States," the outlet wrote.

It added, "It’s perhaps unsurprising that a woman who lived in a gold-encrusted penthouse, whose fame is so intertwined with a reality television empire, would refuse to abandon theatrics—even when faced with 248 years of tradition."

Backlash from the magazine's disgusting takedown of the first lady was fierce, and quickly spread across social media.

What did social media say?

"The mean girls who run Vogue published a scathing attack on First Lady Melania Trump's official White House portrait," conservative Todd Starnes wrote. “It's unclear why Vogue directed their poisonous venom at Mrs. Trump. Envy, perhaps? Or it could just be that they hate bold, confident Republican women."

He added, "Melania Trump is a portrait of beauty, style, elegance and power. She's a wife and a mother. She's a person who embraces her God-given pronoun,” he continued.

“She's incredibly intelligent. She can speak fluently in five languages. And she has a terrific sense of humor. The Mean Girls who run the fashion magazines have an entirely different standard for style and beauty.”

Others echoed Starnes' praise of Melania and his disgust at the outlet for writing what it did.
