Democrats have seen a growing wave of hostility towards the state of Israel ever since last October's brutal attack by Hamas terrorists.

However, Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman has made clear he is leaving that element of his party behind.

Fetterman on Israel's use of exploding pagers to attack terrorists: "I love it"

According to USA Today, that fact was evident from remarks the senator recently made about an Israeli operation launched against the Lebanese-base group Hezbollah last week.

Fox News reported that hundreds of pagers used by members of the terror organization simultaneously exploded as part of a coordinated strike.

That incident was later followed by a second wave of explosions, this time involving counterfeit versions of a walkie-talkie sold by the Japanese company Icom.

When asked about the attack during a Sunday appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press," was quick to voice support, saying, "I love it."

"Israel demonstrated that they will not allow terrorists not to be held accountable"

"I thought what Israel chose to do about blowing up the pagers and then walkie talkies, and then after targeting and eliminating membership and leadership of Hezbollah – I absolutely support that," he declared.

Later, Fetterman disavowed an allegation from Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is an obstacle to peace.

"Israel demonstrated that they will not allow terrorists not to be held accountable, and I fully support that," the Pennsylvania Democrat asserted.

AOC accuses Israel of "killing innocent civilians"

Fetterman's position stands in sharp contrast to that taken by New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who lashed out against Israel in a social media post.

She complained that "Israel's pager attack in Lebanon detonated thousands of handheld devices across a slew of public spaces, seriously injuring and killing innocent civilians."

"This attack clearly and unequivocally violates international humanitarian law and undermines US efforts to prevent a wider conflict," she continued.

"Congress needs a full accounting of the attack, including an answer from the State Department as to whether any US assistance went into the development or deployment of this technology," the Democratic lawmaker went on to declare.
