Young country music star Ivana Pino dead after fatal car accident

The country music world was beyond saddened to learn of the death of a young, up-and-coming star in the business.

According to the Daily Mail, just one day after her 32nd birthday, country singer Ivana Pino perished in a horrific car accident while driving in Chile.

The young singer reportedly lost control of her vehicle and slammed into a concrete barrier before her vehicle flipped over on Route M-80 in the city of Pelluhue.

While Pino was pronounced dead at the scene, the passenger in the vehicle was rushed to a local hospital and treated for injuries, according to the report.

What happened?

According to local media outlets, the popular country singer was headed toward her home after leaving a birthday party.

Not long before her fatal accident, Pino wrote a social media post thanking her fans for the birthday wishes and for God allowing her to celebrate another year of life.

"Today, I thank God for allowing me to celebrate another year of life," she wrote. "Thank you all for your beautiful greetings and for all the love given,' she added. 'Many, many thanks, I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I love you a lot."

 

The popular singer, who was described as "beloved" in her hometown, was also the mother to four children, two girls and two boys.

Chanco Mayor Marcelo Waddington released a statement on the young mother's death, saying, "She gladdened the hearts of the most humble people in our city."

He added, "We feel  for her so much the people have loved her so much, that the truth is they have suffered a lot with her passing."

Tributes pour in

Her fans posted tributes to her across social media after news of her death made the headlines.

"Yesterday happy celebrating her birthday and today she is no longer here, how our lives change from one moment to the next," user Blanca Leal wrote. "My condolences to his family and children."

Another social media user wrote, "Her memory and legacy will shine in every stage that is placed in Chango and its surroundings. The suffering of her family for a person who brought joy and humor fades today in the face of this painful news, may her family find comfort."
