Wilson subsequently posted a video clip to the social media platform Instagram which showed him laying in a hospital bed.

"Hi everybody, I had an explosion in my face. I'm OK, I’m going to be OK. But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms," he told fans.

In a second video, Wilson said he was in "good hands" and being transferred to another medical facility for additional treatment.

Newsweek noted that the follow-up video also featured an appearance by Wilson's girlfriend, fellow recording artist and former reality television star Kelly Osbourne.

"She has taken charge," Wilson said of Osbourne, who was shown helping to dress his wounds. Osbourne is the daughter of legendary Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne.

Osbourne responded by saying, "Me? You're not allowed to f--k around. That's what got us in this s--t in the first place."

She went on to declare that "[t]his is why you don't f--k with burn piles. He literally set himself on fire, exploded everything."

Wilson noted that the incident left him "singed everywhere" on his body along with a blistered mouth and arms that were "pretty bad."

However, Wilson nevertheless reassured fans that the mishap would not affect his career, stating, "I'm going to be all right, you guys. I don't care what it takes, I will see you on tour."

Slipknot says Wilson will be on stage next weekend as planned

Wilson's band addressed his injuries in a social media post, writing, "Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body."

"He's recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend. He thanks everyone for the well wishes, and will see you all soon," the group added.
