Fox News and talk radio personality Mark Levin said Monday that he tore his quadricep over the weekend and will need surgery before he can return to the airwaves and television.

“Unfortunately, I had a very bad fall this weekend and tore my quadricep between my right knee and thigh,” Levin said. “I’ll likely be in surgery in the next day or two. I’ll be back on air as soon as I can. God bless.”

Levin is the host of the popular "Life, Liberty, and Levin" on Fox News and a syndicated weekday radio show named after himself.

Pivotal time

It's a pivotal time for Levin with the 2024 presidential election looming in less than 60 days--not a great time to be off-air.

It can't be helped, however, and Levin's many fans will just have to make due without him while he recuperates.

Levin is a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump

Levin's announcement did not say who would be replacing him while he is away from the air.

His latest show on Saturday featured Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), Trump advisor Steven Miller, and Trump as guests.

"Your voice is needed"

Levin's fans took to X to say they are praying for him and wish him a speedy recovery.

"Your voice is needed,” gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake wrote, among many others.

Levin's seven books, including his latest, "The Democrat Party Hates America," will have to speak for him in the meantime.

Levin worked in politics as chief of staff for Attorney General Edwin Meese under former President Ronald Reagan and as deputy assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Education and deputy solicitor of the U.S. Department of the Interior.

His political experience is evident in his insights into American politics today, and his absence will be evident in the waning weeks of the presidential campaign.
