Drama at Carter funeral: Jill Biden ignores Kamala Harris, who seems annoyed at Trump-Obama chitchat

Former President Jimmy Carter's funeral was not drama-free; First Lady Jill Biden barely acknowledged Vice President Kamala Harris even though they sat next to each other, and Harris looked visibly annoyed that former President Barack Obama chatted amiably for several minutes with President-elect Donald Trump, who defeated her in the recent election.

Biden and Harris both stared forward stonily after Harris briefly held Biden's purse for her until she got seated. They didn't really hold a conversation or even exchange pleasantries.

Shortly after they were all seated, Biden moved closer to her husband away from Harris.

It's not the first time the two have pretty much ignored each other, but then, Harris did take away Dr. Jill's power for the next four years, then lost the election anyway.

Huffing and puffing

Harris did look annoyed to see Trump and Obama amicably chatting behind her. She kind of huffed and turned around.

It's understandable that she wouldn't be happy about it, but what are two of the most powerful men in the world supposed to do? Have a fistfight?

It's a funeral, after all. It's no place for drama and infighting.

Carter was laid to rest after 100 years of life, more than any other president has had.

On the one hand, he is laudable for his strong faith and commitment to God.

On the other hand, his policies were so abysmal that he was not re-elected, and left office deeply unpopular.

Similarities to Biden

President Joe Biden probably knows how he feels; he also did not get a second term and will leave office deeply unpopular.

The inflation that ran rampant after COVID-19 was the worst since Carter's administration, and both presidents thought more spending and higher taxes would get the country out of the ditch.

The similarities end here; Biden probably won't live to be 100, if his current level of decline continues.

In another 10 days, America can turn the page on Jill and Joe Biden for good, so the drama and sour grapes may just be some sadness over the end for both the Bidens and Harris.
