Republicans have long alleged that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is a partisan actor who targeted former President Donald Trump for political reasons.

Those allegations are likely to grow louder Bragg was caught attending a fundraiser for an organization which sought to keep Trump off the ballot.

One fellow attendee compared Trump to Hitler

According to the Daily Wire, the event was put on in May of last year for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund (LDF). Among those on its board of directors is Jonathan Soros, the son of left-wing billionaire George Soros.

Another board member is Anne Small, who is the wife of Matthew Colangelo. The New York Post noted that Colangelo is a former Democratic consultant who was the third highest ranking Justice Department figure before leaving to work on Trump's prosecution.

For her part, Small donated $2,800 to President Joe Biden's 2020 campaign and made previous donations to the campaigns of John Kerry and former President Barack Obama.

Also attending the fundraising event was controversial filmmaker Spike Lee. Vanity Fair reported that Lee compared Trump to Hitler while speaking at the 2021 New York Film Critics Circle Awards.

"President Agent Orange will go down in history with the likes of Hitler," Lee was quoted as saying. "All his boys, they’re going down on the wrong side of history."

Judge in Trump's case donated to Biden campaign

LDF submitted an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court last year when it reviewed a ruling by Colorado's highest judicial body that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment precluded Trump from standing as a candidate.

"We implore the Court to honor its own constitutional commitment, and fully apply the Fourteenth Amendment in this case,"  LDF president and director-counsel Janai Nelson said in a statement.

Bragg is not the only one to be accused of having a political agenda with respect to Trump, as Judge Juan Merchan has as well.

Merchan oversaw Trump's New York hush-money case despite Fox News reporting last year that he donated to both President Joe Biden and as well as the left-wing Progressive Turnout Project.

Judge's daughter used Trump's trial to fundraise for Democrats

What's more, The New York Post reported in March that serves as chief operating officer and president of Authentic Campaigns.

The Democrat-aligned political consulting firm has mentioned Trump's trial in fundraising campaigns which netted some $93 million.

Authentic Campaigns' website explains that its clients have included President Biden, Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Oregon Democratic Gov. Tina Kotek, and California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff.
