Alvin Bragg slammed for dropping charges against anti-Israel rioters

While Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has made going after former President Donald Trump a top priority, he seems far less interested in prosecuting anti-Israeli rioters.

That fact was on display last week when Bragg was verbally demolished for dropping charges against those who illegally occupied Columbia University.

Former congressman says bad actors will be "emboldened"

According to The Hill, former New York Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin took the Manhattan prosecutor to task when speaking with Fox News on Saturday.

"There is no justice system when you have Alvin Bragg as your prosecutor,” Zeldin, also a former New York gubernatorial candidate," Zeldin was quoted as saying.

"So, for those helpless Jewish students and members of the faculty who were hoping that there would be consequences after watching all of these crimes getting committed, this is another day of disappointment," he continued.

"So, if you’re not going to have the accountability that you need on campus and the culture is going to continue to get eroded, laws are going to get broken, the prosecutors [are] not going to prosecute," Zeldin stressed.

The former lawmaker went onto predict that the situation "will get worse" since "people who have committed these crimes only get emboldened."

"I no longer feel physically safe on my campus"

A number of Jewish students complained that they felt threatened on campus after a large number of anti-Israel demonstrators set up an encampment at Columbia.

One of them was Parker Stein, who told Fox News in April, "People have been saying for a while now that they don't feel safe, and a lot of that had to do with the rhetoric."

"I want to be clear right now, this has now gotten into physical safety. I no longer feel physically safe on my campus," he continued.

Student described being chased by "angry mob"

Stein went on to allege that he had been subjected to verbal harassment, with some demonstrators calling him as well as other Jewish students "inbred" people who "have no culture."

The college junior further recalled an incident in which demonstrators stole an Israeli flag from one of his friends and then attempted to light it on fire.

"An angry mob of students chased us off-campus screaming, 'We don't want no Zionists here. Get out of here. F Israel,' and a bunch of other [things]," Stein explained.

" A free people [claim] their rights, as derived from the laws of nature."
