Biden gets exposed by his own judge, who vindicates Trump

A judge appointed by President Joe Biden just exposed the hypocrisy of Biden's Department of Justice (DOJ).

According to Politico, the judge did so during a recent court hearing.

The outlet reports:

U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes, a Biden appointee on the federal District Court in Washington, spent nearly an hour accusing Justice Department attorneys of rank hypocrisy for instructing two other lawyers in the DOJ Tax Division not to comply with the House subpoenas.

Reyes, here, was essentially vindicating an argument that has been made by President Donald Trump and his supporters.

The two-tiered justice system

Currently, Peter Navarro, the former Trump adviser, is sitting in prison, and he is sitting in prison because he refused to comply with a subpoena that had been issued by the highly partisan Jan. 6 subcommittee.

Fox News reports:

Navarro was sent to prison in March for four months, charged and convicted with contempt of Congress after he refused to comply with a congressional subpoena demanding his testimony and documents relating to the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. Navarro said he could not cooperate with the committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack because Trump had invoked executive privilege, an argument that lower courts have rejected.

Another Trump advisor - Steve Bannon - also received a four-month prison sentence for similar charges, but, unlike Navarro, Bannon has been allowed to remain free while he appeals the conviction.

Of course, Bannon and Navarro are not the only ones who recently refused to comply with a congressional subpoena. In fact, members of the Biden administration have also done so.

Fox reports, "Daly and Morgan, two attorneys with the Justice Department’s tax division, were subpoenaed for their 'firsthand knowledge of the irregularities in DOJ’s investigation that appear to have benefited Hunter Biden." Both have defied the subpoena.

Where are the contempt charges?

Unlike Navarro and Bannon, Daly and Morgan have not been hit with contempt charges. Many argue that this is more evidence of the two-tier justice system that exists under the Biden administration.

The surprising bit, though, is that Judge Reyes - a Biden appointee - actually called out the hypocrisy during a recent hearing.

"There’s a person in jail right now because you all brought a criminal lawsuit against him because he did not appear for a House subpoena. And now you guys are flouting those subpoenas. … And you don’t have to show up? I think it’s quite rich you guys pursue criminal investigations and put people in jail for not showing up," Reyes said.

The judge went on to tell the Biden officials that they "are making a bunch of arguments that [they] would never accept from any other litigant."

This certainly isn't something that you see every day - at least not in today's upside-down America.
