The mainstream media continues to push the narrative that there are problems with former President Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump's marriage. 

The latest outlet to do so is Newsweek. It did so with an article that it published on Friday, titled, Where is Melania Trump?

Per the outlet:

Melania has been noticeably absent from Trump's multiple court appearances. She has also not been seen at many of Trump's recent campaign stops, with one pundit arguing Melania "had disappeared for months."

The speculation

Newsweek, later on in the article, tries to provide explanations for what might be going on between Donald and Melania Trump - assuming, of course, that there is something going on between them.

"As well as speculation that Melania is angry with her husband as he faces multiple criminal charges there is the suggestion that she is still resentful over his alleged affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels," Newsweek writes.

The outlet adds, "Melania's noticeable absence also comes after she reportedly renegotiated her prenuptial agreement with Trump, with some media reporting she did so because she was concerned her husband would lose all his money paying legal fees."

It is worth emphasizing that this is all just speculation.

The Megyn Kelly interview

During his recent interview with Megyn Kelly, Trump spoke about his relationship with Melania. And, the former president had nothing but good things to say about her.

When asked about the "mystery" surrounding Melania, Trump said:

I think part of the beauty is that mystery. She doesn't need to be out there [to get interviewed]. She has confidence. She has a lot of self-confidence,

Here, Trump, in part, was responding to why exactly it is that Melania - unlike other first ladies - has kept a low profile since her time in office.

Trump also suggested, during the interview, that one of the reasons that we do not see more of Melania is because of the way she was attacked during his administration. Trump used the example of how Melania was criticized for the way she decorated the White House at Christmas time no matter what she did.

Finally, Trump highlighted the fact that, although she has been absent from campaign events, Melania continues to receive tremendous support from his supporters at campaign events.

The truth of the matter:

It is that no one really knows what is going on behind closed doors between Melania and Donald Trump.

Public statements made by both Melania and Donald Trump would suggest that there is no problem between them. So, we should just leave it at that.
