While President Joe Biden has long insisted he never had any knowledge of his son's business activities, that claim appears to be falling apart.

According to a South Carolina congresswoman, a former business partner of Hunter Biden will testify next week that the president was sometimes in the room when meetings took place. 

Devon Archer served alongside Hunter Biden on Burisma board

The Washington Examiner has reported that Devon Archer has been scheduled to appear in front of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee for a transcribed interview next week.

Archer, who was previously sentenced to a year behind bars for his role in a fraudulent bond scheme that targeted a Native American, also worked alongside Hunter Biden at the controversial Ukrainian oil and gas firm Burisma.

Republican Rep. Nancy Mace addressed the prospect of Archer's testimony during a Tuesday interview with Fox News host Martha MacCallum.

Mace: "If you did nothing wrong, why lie about it?"

"Now look, Devon Archer is Hunter Biden's BFF [best friend forever]. He knows where all the bodies are buried," Mace told MacCallum.

"And I believe that his testimony will be compelling enough to show that Joe Biden was in the room during much of these discussions, during much of these deals," she continued.

"And my question for Joe Biden today is, 'If you did nothing wrong, why lie about it?' And we've got to get to the bottom of this," she insisted.

Should Archer testify about Biden's involvement in his son's overseas business dealing then it would contradict years of denials on the part of the president.

Biden: "I never discussed a single thing with my son"

Biden told reporters while campaigning in 2019, "I have never discussed with my son or my brother or anyone else anything to do with their business."

He echoed that message during a Democratic presidential debate, telling CNN host Anderson Cooper, "I never discussed a single thing with my son about anything having to do with Ukraine."
