Fetterman admits to Joe Rogan that Trump has 'resonated' in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania, according to virtually all polling and political analysts, is the most important state in the upcoming presidential race for either candidate to win. Doing so would almost certainly ensure victory.
According to Breitbart, Sen. John Fetterman, a Democrat representing the Keystone State, admitted during a recent interview with podcast legend Joe Rogan that former President Donald Trump has "resonated" in his state in a way other Republicans haven't.
The PA senator, who has often taken differing views from his own party, knows that Trump's chances of winning his state are quite strong.
Fetterman attributes Trump's popularity in his state to his populist economic message. In other words, working-class people in Pennsylvania would like to be able to afford gas and groceries again like the rest of us.
What did he say?
Fetterman pointed out that Trump is connecting with voters in his state much like he did in 2016, which Hillary Clinton essentially ignored at the time, and we know how that ultimately worked out for her campaign.
The PA senator recalled a key moment in the 2016 race that he was first initially confused about, as far as Trump visiting a small town there.
"I’ll never forget, it was June in 2016, and I was a surrogate for Clinton, and Trump announced, ‘I’m showing up in a town called Monessen’, which is a small steel town in the valley down from ours, and I’m like why is he showing up [there], I mean that’s not… so either he’s crazy, or they’ve plugged into something," Fetterman said.

Breitbart noted:
The Pennsylvania senator said that while more establishment Republican candidates like Mitt Romney would win more rural counties of the state by margins of 50 or 60 percent, Trump was able to increase the vote share to around 80 percent. This, Fetterman said, is how he was able to overcome the strong support for Clinton in urban centres like Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
The Democratic senator said Trump's message to voters in his state "resonated, and you started to see a lot of the signs and a lot of the energy."
"Very very close"
Fetterman originally predicted that Vice President Kamala Harris would win his state, but recently admitted that it would be "very, very close."
Fetterman called Trump's momentum in Pennsylvania "surprising," saying,"all the time I spend going across Pennsylvania, visual, it’s jarring and surprising the level of kinds of devotion."
Many believe Trump's momentum in the state has surged at the perfect time.
Trump is leading Harris among many demographics in the state, including union workers and those who hold manual labor jobs.
