Today, the White House has announced that First Lady Jill Biden will be in Atlanta to bring attention to the significance of research pertaining to women's health.

The first lady's departure from the campaign could be a huge setback for the president, considering how much he seems to lean on the First Lady for even basic instruction, as the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

While evidence beyond what has been seen on film has not yet been confirmed, rumors have flown among political commentators that Jill Biden could be largely responsible for much of her husband's day to day decisions, at a minimum.

Without the first lady's presence on the campaign trail, some have questioned what the president and 2024 presidential candidate will do to keep himself from appearing in anyway handicapped by his wife's absence.

The Trip

She is scheduled to deliver remarks at the "2024 Women's Heart Healthy Luncheon," which will be held at the Georgia Aquarium and is hosted by the Morehouse School of Medicine during the year 2024.

In the next phase, she will participate in a roundtable discussion on women's health, which will be attended by local leaders and key players from a variety of industries that are working to speed up research on women's health.

Later on, we will make an announcement regarding the location of the second meeting for the group.

Aiming to galvanize the federal government as well as the private and charitable sectors to promote innovation and investment in order to bridge research gaps and enhance women's health, the White House Initiative on Women's Health Research was launched in November 2023 by the President and the First Lady. The initiative's goal is to improve women's health.

Her Message

According to the White House, the President is instructing his Administration to engage in the following activities as a first step, and he is doing so through a Presidential Memorandum:

Create a federal executive department and agency initiative through US Departments of Health and Human Services, Defense, and Veterans Affairs, as well as White House offices like the Office of Management and Budget and Office of Science and Technology Policy, are initiative participants.

Make specific women's health research recommendations.

This will take place by Initiative members proposing tangible steps for the Biden administration to improve women's health research and maximize its investments, including health inequalities and inequities, within 45 days.

Target, impactful approach by members of the project selecting priority areas where additional investments could alter research on heart attacks in women and menopause to provide results swiftly.

Engage scientists, businesspeople, and philanthropists is another area of promise. Leadership will be engaged to drive innovation and guarantee public, commercial, and philanthropic sectors advance women's health research through new public-private partnerships.
